Unless you are a snobby French person, you should get on just fine with this resort.. it's Cuba and not Paris.............. it's a very plain and simple, and beautiful resort... the sun never ever stops shining everyday... its really hot in June remember 35C everyday without fail!! ..and the highlight of the resort is the close prozimity to the beach.. its less than a stone's throw away.. its is virtually part of the resort...and when I went there it was quiet.. very very quiet, the beach could be yours at certain times of the day....... your kids won't be impressed with the 80's style games room.. lol.. but we liked that too!
The resort has the lobby entrance which is where you can use the internet (again, unless you expect slow browsing do not bother..) there is bar / cafe and also a restaurant, and the only issue I ever had with food was a few flies buzzing around the place.. (kids wont like that i guess!) and its important to remember actually that if you ARE fussy about your food, there is not much other choice except for burger/fries at the cafe.. so as long as your not a greedy fussy (french person) then you should get along perfectly, you will get the amazing sun, sea, and beach, plus some interesting things going on like fishermen doing the fishing, and exploring found me an old beach hut... and the resort is very free to wander.. in fact this is also important.. not the safest for kids! because there is no real safety standards in Cuba..
fantastic resort, for adults only..........................Oh, and the staff were really nice!!

Room Tip: take Oceanview ONLY! you can't miss that..!

First off I must say that I have stayed at this resort many times over the last several years. This resort has changed management and ownership a few times since I have been going to it , but the staff has pretty much remained the same for several years.
The rooms are all good but the ocean front ones have an awesome view.
First let me say that this resort is not for those that need to be entertained constantly by the staff , it is a VERY small place with only 48 rooms and can at times be deathly quiet around the resort , even when there are lots of guests.
If you want to lay around and relax with a good book or go off resort a lot like I do then this may be the place for you. The staff are all very friendly and you will know them all by name in a day or two and they can't do enough for you.
The food is ok nothing special and not a lot of variety but what they serve is good and you have choices of 3 diff hot items at dinner.
The beach is good although the sand is course here and not the fine sand of the other Cayo Coco beaches , there is also a drop off unlike the other resorts and therefore not kid friendly like the shallow waters of the others.
It is a great adult spot even though kids are welcome as there are not many that kids that come and if they do they are usually very young.
There are construction workers from abroad and their families that stay here and are all very nice people that I have gotten to know over the last few years. Some have new babies and are a pleasure to be around.
It is a short walk next door to the spa which is amazing and a must visit. You may also walk to Playa Prohibida and have lobster or fish or just enjoy the beach and music.
If you can entertain yourself and are NOT looking for a party place but more a set back and relax spot this may be for you.
To me the name out front matters not it's the people within that count.
