Cobblers Cove was recommended to us by a friend who used to live in Barbados - we are so glad that we took his advice for what was our first visit to the Caribbean.
Staying in late July, the hotel was quiet and that suited us fine. The watersports, especially the skiing, kept our two teenage sons happy and we all enjoyed the excellent hospitality, delicious food (I'm still missing their homemade breakfast yoghourts) and attractive accommodation.
Our two adjoining suites overlooked the stunning garden and provided plenty of entertainment in the form of visiting birds, lizards and butterflies (not to mention the occasional glimpse of a mongoose and the clattering of a monkey on the roof!).
For us these suites were perfect - we spent all day by the pool or on the beach so the cool greenery of the garden area provided a welcome retreat.
Our only quibble - a faulty air conditioning unit in a bedroom - was quickly sorted.
Our ten-night stay was primarily to celebrate an important birthday and the hotel not only welcomed us with a bottle of Champagne on arrival but also created a memorable celebratory dinner in the beachside pavilion for our last night.
A day spent touring the island's markets with chef Leo Beckles is a must - not only do you get to see a lot of Barbados but you also learn a lot from a man who is a great ambassador for the island as well as the hotel.
In conclusion, just as a Rolls-Royce separates its occupants from the outside world, so Cobblers Cove insulates its guests from the harsh realities of everyday life, cocooning them in a restful environment that is as addictive as it is delightful.
Many guests make return visits - we hope to join them.

Room Tip: Opt for a garden suite - the greenery is stunning

We were at Cobbler's Cove for a short trip with our 3-year-old daughter in May, 2016. The property was lovely and intimate, and it's right on the Caribbean; the hospitality was wonderful and they went out of their way for our little one; the rooms are great; and the food at the restaurant is first rate - our experiences with food in the Caribbean have been hit or miss, but we did not have a single bad meal there. I highly recommend this place.

This was an unplanned stay after LIAT messed up a connection from Barbados to St Vincent so I booked online and arrived within an hour.
The manager met me on arrival, bags were taken care of, check in was unnecessary and he took me straight to the bar for a drink on the house; exactly what was needed for a weary traveler straight off a 9 hour flight and no connection. Only when i got to the room after dinner did i see the amazing upgrade from the standard garden view room I'd booked without researching to an ocean front suite steps from the beach and restaurant.
Cobblers is small, more like a home than a hotel, with plenty of efficient and friendly staff with a great, safe beach. It's fairly priced, relaxed, informal but with high standards. Soooo much better than the high octane Sandy Lane!

Relais and Chateau never disappoints, and so it was with this boutique-style secluded hotel in the Speightstown area north of the island. The accommodation is arranged around the garden, making the most of the beach view with a communal bar, lounge and dining area at its heart.
The staff are delightful and were really helpful in every way possible.
Afternoon tea and cake is served around 4 every day and that's a nice colonial touch I thought. Not great for the waistline though :( ahem.
If you are looking for a small and discreet hotel, that's very stylish and upmarket this is the one for you.
Several good restaurants just a short drive away or accessible by foot which was nice too.
I would recommend the catamaran daytrip and swimming at the beach and not only the pool...

Room Tip: Splash out and get a sea view, you'll be glad you did!

We were 3 couples, 2 celebrating 40th and 1 celebrating 37th wedding anniversary. Cobblers Cove in Barbados was an excellent choice. We had 2 rooms with ocean view ( Taitt's and Colleton) and 1 with ocean side view (Baxiba). From the moment of our arrival until departure, every single employee was courteous, attentive and ready to fulfill our requests. Richard, Andy and others (please forgive my memory for the other female manager and remaining employees) got us vans for sightseeing, referrals and calls for restaurants reservations, and drinks on the house to celebrate our anniversaries.
Cobblers Cove has big size suites with everything. Plenty of towels, toiletries, kitchen, fresh water every day in a water jar along with fresh cookies and twice a day room cleaning. Plenty of water sports included on your stay as well as mid afternoon tea with sweets and small sandwiches.
Everybody in Cobblers Cove as well as in Barbados have a smile for you. Great place to visit and to stay.
Thank you all in our name and our friends names.

Room Tip: Any room with ocean view or garden view. All depends on preferences and personal budget.
