My husband and I recently stayed here for two nights on a half board basis (dinner, bed and breakfast). We had a room with sea views and the view was wonderful, we could see the beach and the little harbour. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but we are used to staying in slightly larger rooms. The size of the room did reflect the price which was still good value. The dinner on both night was superb, much better than we had expected and the breakfasts offered a wide choice and good quality. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area bearing in mind the rooms are on the small side.

First time visit to St Cast and booked this hotel based on other reviews and was not disappointed. Initially booked just B&B but the half board price was so reasonable changed on arrival. The set dinner was extremely good and the buffet breakfast was entensive. Had a garden room that was adequate, clean and comfortable. Friendly and efficient staff. Only downside is that there is no private parking just on street.

We stayed at Port Jacquet this weekend. It's in a fantastic spot overlooking Saint Cast and joined to the beach and main town by a beautiful walkway along the side of the cliffs (or by road). Rooms at the front have the full view if the sea and have been recently renovated: very comfortable stay. Our first night was in a garden room, which was on the smaller side and a bit dated, but still agreeable and a bargain at 55€. We moved to a renovated family room the second night- the last room available - which for the two of us was huge and comfy and honestly I have never seen such good value in France - at 70€. The service from our first call to our check out was nothing but friendly and genuine and helpful. After having contacted the Chateau du Val nearby and having been turned off by the manner and the tone of demands for deposits and arrival, and being dissatisfied frequently by hotels in France, credit where it's due, this was a great stay! Highly reccommended.

Restaurant was crammed full of "package tour" customers - set menu. I asked for a gluten free meal in advance. I was given half a rockmelon for an entree - returned to kitchen with a request for something more substantial - a plate of ham offered. Main meal - fish in a sea of overcooked and over-peppered vegetables - almost inedible. Dessert - 2 whole nectarines placed on a plate - insulting and duly returned to kitchen - no replacement offered. This hotel has no soul and nothing to offer other than a sea view if you are lucky enough - we had a view of the kitchen vent and carpark. Never again. Particularly inhospidable.

The Port Jacquet hotel in Saint Cast le Guildo was just fine for our one-night stay while walking the Brittany coast. The room was very small, and the bathroom was a large step up and also small, but the room had a great view over the harbor. The shower was small but had good pressure and hot water. The restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced, with a good 18 euro menu. Try the choucroute of fish, which sounds odd but was very good. The mussels were great and plentiful.
