We had stayed in this hotel before, as such it was easy to choose to stay there again we were not disappointed we were very well looked after by the staff particularly Nedjma who kindly organised reservations at two local restaurants and also gave advice timings etc on our visit to Amiens and looked after our needs at the hotel restaurant when we are their she was a credit to the hotel with her undoubted focus on customer service, which made the stay even more enjoyable, the breakfast and the use of the free tea and coffee machine between 10:00 and 16:00 was also most welcome, thanks a lot for this we look, forward to returning again in the future

Location is great for visiting 'The Somme' with all the main memorials and cemeteries within an easy 20 minute drive.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff were excellent and very welcoming and friendly. There is a large carpark and an elevator serves all floors.

Breakfast was the usual continental fare, well presented and plenty of it with lots of choice.

The restaurant has a limited menu of Vlammkuchen with not much choice for vegetarians. Albert is not that far away if you fancy some other dining fare.

The room was clean and comfortable with a great shower. Nothing more to add - it's your typical Ibis offering comfort at a value for money price.

This hotel was perfect for our needs - comfortable accommodation when visiting the ww1 battlefields.
The smallish rooms are very cleverly designed..storage space; clever ensuite with a good sized shower; effective, quiet airconditioning; large comfy bed.

Agreeing with previous comment regarding the limited options for an evening meal - we are a "captive audience" as there is no where else to go . They could definitely make more of the opportunity.

The hotel is very well sited for visiting the WW1 Sites and close to Albert. It has a very good sized car park. The rooms are adequate as is the Shower Room but I did miss having a hostess tray for a morning cup of tea. The problem was the Restaurant. Breakfast is a Continental offering with croissants, french bread, ham, cheese, jams, fruit etc which was more than adequate. Unfortunately on our first night when we arrived after a long journey the restaurant was almost full and it was obvious that the kitchen couldn't cope and the Manager did not help by warning people that there would be a long wait for their food. It was obvious that they were understaffed in the kitchen. We waited for almost an hour and a half and when the food arrived it was tepid, almost cold and my 'salad' was just lettuce. Consequently we ate out for the next three nights. Apart from The Manager, the staff on reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. If I was visiting the Area again I would stay there but eat out.

This is a useful choice if you are visiting the Somme battlefields which are just on its doorstep. The hotel is just off a roundabout on the north east side of Albert with a large car park. A modern build with large rooms and proper aircon.

The problem is the restaurant which is staffed by exceptional people but the menu is just not up to scratch. We have dined in many other Ibis restaurants which have a broad range of items on the menu. At this Ibis there is too much emphasis on a local type of pizza, flammekueche, sometimes called Alsatian PIzza.

It is perhaps an acquired taste whatever topping you choose and whilst there is one burger and steak on the menu plus a daily special, this does not seem to really provide enough variety. On the second night we had fish as a special but it was overcooked and really not that great.

We did discuss all of this with the manager as we checked out who had raised the question of the restaurant with us first. The previous evening had been dominated by a rather "demanding" coach party and with one member of staff down they struggled badly.

I think there is a desire to re-structure the restaurant and the should look at their own Ibis hotels with restaurants elsewhere to gauge what works on the menu. There is a need to have contingency plans for when they are hosting coach parties.
