We were pleasantly surprised as the reviews for 2017 were not good, but the Rooms were very clean and very comfortable due to the hotel being refurbished. There was plenty of room for 3 adults and one teenager. The staff were amazing and always wanting to help make our holiday extra special. We enjoyed the pool area but could do with a llittle more shade but it looked as if they were dealing with that. The pool area and pool was always clean and it was great to be able to swim in the evening as well. The sun setting while we were having dinner was a highlight of our days. Good variety of food which again was good and the restaurant was always clean and tidy. The pool side toilets were away very clean and we no issues using them. Overall we had a great holiday and would hope to go back at some time.

Room tip: We had a room which was on the top level at the end of the complex.

We stayed in this hotel for a week self catering 2 adults and 2 children (ages 9 & 3). The room was lovely and clean and looked newly refurbished with air conditioning which was fantastic. We only had breakfast on one day which was reasonably priced and we had drinks on others which again were fairly priced. The pool is lovely for kids it's not too big and has a deep end as well as shallow end for youngsters and a baby pool. The pool was never really busy and can always get a couple of sun loungers if you aren't bothered where you sit. You still get the vultures there trying to get the best loungers but it didn't bother us as we only had 2 pool days and had a dip after the beach on other days. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again. The only thing I would change about the hotel is the housekeeping. They only change your towels once in your stay and your bedding doesn't getting changed at all. Personally, I think it'd be nice if the bedding got done half way through and towels every 2 days.
Depending on what sort of holiday you like and what you want to do I think will affect if you like this hotel. If you sit by the pool all day you will be fine and if you like to hire a car you will be fine. There's not much to do in the area so we hired a car from reception (€240 for 5days) to have a look round the island. There's 3 restaurants and a supermarket at the top of the road about 2 min walk from the hotel and 2 restaurants and a supermarket at the bottom. We highly recommend okapi, the food was lovely. The beach is nice and shallow and good for young children and is only a 5 min walk (uphill on the way back). There is a splash park for €40 for 4 at the hotel down the road but it's not looked after very well, there are tiles coming up everywhere and my kids preferred our hotel pool. We also visited cala galdana, cala'n bosch and arenal de castell. Highly recommend cala'n bosch, we went on a boat ride to sea the hide em beaches from there. €75 for 4 of us for 4 hrs.

Overall Nice place to say
Rooms of good size and clean, a lot of the goods looked brand new, and air conditioning at no extra charge. Mind you if you need the use of the safe this is extra. The air con remote has a price tag of 40 euros if it’s not returned at the end of your stay
The pool area was a good size and the children are allowed to use any sort of water toys from balls to big inflatables which was nice. One thing to me mindful of, the pool has a plastic drain covers which circles the pool and these in places are and do get damaged, I did see a couple of people with cuts to their toes
The bar area not once did me have to wait to be served, and quick to please. Most types of drinks are available, and as you know always good measures. In fact wine is served by the bottle.
We stayed all-inclusive which worked out for us good value. The breakfast was the best you could have a full english, toast, cereals, and the continental if you so wished. Lunch time meals where good not a massive selection, there was something for everyone. As regards to the evening meals this is where it was a bit of a let-down , I would say not much different from the lunch time menu may be a bit poorer , in fact we eat out three times in our seven day stay. The worse thing of all with the food display area was the fly’s, and none of the food was covered. I always took food from the bottom.
One final point the first thing your hit with when you reach reception is Hola, and a sign presented to you telling you., For every person over the age of 16 you will pay 4.4 euros per night tourist tax . When I got back home and looked up this charge. The classification of 4.4 euros per night is the top tariff, stating it’s a 5 starts plus all-inclusive establishment. Trip advisor rate it as 4 star accommodation. In any case how can we be charged tourist tax in an EU country?

We have just returned from a wonderful week’s holiday at the Tirant Playa with our two young boys (2 and 4).
We were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms were fantastic- spacious, clean and stylish. The double bed was super comfy (the pullout in the lounge not so much).
Air con in both rooms was very quiet.
The pools were great for the kids - especially the smaller splash pool.
It’s very convenient for the beach - though with the steps/wooden boardwalk to the main beach don’t bother trying to take a pram!!
Lovely restaurants nearby - our faves were Okapi and Marlet cafe by the beach.
All round a fantastic quiet picturesque resort for young families and we’d go back in a shot!
