“Four generations of my family really enjoyed staying in this spacious spanish house”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Four generations of my family really enjoyed staying in this spacious spanish house which was exactly as described. Even so, it was bigger and more elegant than I had imagined. It was wonderfully quiet with swifts and swallows flying dramatically over the garden. It was clean and had a generous supply of bedding, sheets and towels. The cupboards were full of dried goods which could be used and replaced. The garden seating was very comfortable, lovely white sofas and a large table under a vine. The kitchen was easy to use even with a couple of cooks and breakages were covered by a generous "just get something similar" policy. There was plenty of equipment, the owners are obviously foodies but I would recommend the purchase of a huge saucepan big enough to cook pasta for 9 or 10. We found the local town charming and a real advantage for a large group to spend time exploring in smaller groups and shopping for food at short notice. We visited Cordoba and Seville which are in easy reach and even visited the lakes where we hired a ridiculous green VW beetle, with a yellow slide attached, to pedal around the lake in. Don't forget to visit the Mirador restaurant bar further up the road which has an interesting menu including fabulous aubergine fritters drizzled with honey!!! Who said "vegetables are good for you?". Jeremy Taffler is friendly and easy to deal with. Do read his house advice booklet on his website, which I find amusing, and gives you an idea of what kind of people you'd be dealing with. The great thing about this house is that you don't really feel like a guest. You feel that you are actually a real spanish family living in your own house in Spain. No pool but that's all part of it. I will definitely recommend this house for a holiday to my brother and 4 sisters.

“Everything we'd hoped for and more”
Reviewed 12 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Rather than suffer a cold and wet New Year in Oxford, we persuaded our visiting Aussie family a quick hop south to warmer climes would be infinitely preferable. An evening's Internet hunting led me to Osuna with one of the best winter climates in Europe, Roman ruins, palaces, the promise of authentic food, few tourists, little English spoken - it ticked all the boxes for a mini adventure just over 2 hours from the UK. Having then found and booked Jeremy's house, the help and advice we received was absolutely second to none. Even with a wealth of information to hand, Osuna still leaves plenty of room for exploration and surprises. The house instantly felt homely to all, so much so that even the littlest ones slept through each night untroubled. The fantastic kitchen easily catered for 8 daily and 12 on occasion (including a surprise visit from motorhoming grandparents). The holiday was faultless, enriching and full of laughter. Without the comfort and welcome Jeremy and his house offer this could quite easily not have been the case.
P.s. We managed easily without a car for the week and next time I wouldn't pack a single book, everything you could possibly need to read is already there. I just wish my Spanish was actually as good as I thought it was, it comes in very handy.

“Home from home in gorgeous Osuna”
Reviewed 8 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Stayed for Christmas week and we were even greeted with a Christmas tree complete with lights where we could pop our pressies under.

The house is a fantastic piece of history right in the heart of the old town of Osuna. The perfect house for relaxing in with plenty of space inside and out. If it was cold then we enjoyed the log burner in the living room which was amazing and the comfy sofas and then in the lovely sunshine the garden at the back outside of the kitchen.

The kitchen is a fantastic space, enjoyed cooking with all the lovely food available from the wonderful local shops which are all on the doorstep and everything is half the price of where I live in Spain.

The information in the house is second to none so no need to waste any time wondering what to do or where to go - Jeremy the owner has provided everything you could possibly need from where to eat down to where to recycle your bottles.

Osuna is an amazingly beautiful town with so much to explore, the people are lovely, the bars and restaurants are great with wonderful food (and cheap!). A week was not long enough, we will be going back.

“Highly recommended house in Osuna”
Reviewed 28 June 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We had a very enjoyable 2 week stay here in April 2013. This is a comfortable, loved family holiday home and is extremely well equipped and spacious as well as having great atmosphere. The owners have thoughtfully left heaps of practical information about Osuna and other towns worthy of a visit. I almost forgot to mention the excellent book collection for avid readers as well as games for all ages.
Osuna is a really nice Andalusian town and not at all touristy. If you are searching for an authentic, enriching Andalusian holiday experience I can heartily recommend this house and town. I'm certain we will go back next year.

“Delightful house, marvellous location”
Reviewed 7 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Located centrally in the lovely town of Osuna, the house is a gem - lovingly extended to provide a spacious and charming interior and exterior ( with lovely courtyard for candlelit evening meals and , separately, a mature, large walled garden with fountain).

We chose Osuna because it was equidistant from Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Osuna proved to be a great destination in itsel f- beautiful, friendly - great to wander about and discover the sights. Jeremy's detailed notes were a godsend in locating and exploring the town and surrounding area. So often, it takes a week to find your feet, but we largely relied on Jeremy's excellent suggestions about where to eat and visit.

Jeremy has an extensive collection of music ,DVDs and books - we loved preparing our hake in the large well- equipped kitchen while rediscovering favourites from the 70s.
N.B. The house is large but the street narrow- take or hire a small car.You can park in the nearby square as an alternative.

In short, amazing house, splendid town and location, unexpected delights.

“A lovely place to stay and see non-touristy Spain”

I have actually been to Osuna and stayed here several times and am always happy so go back. I really feel at home there - always did from the moment I stepped in. It is so wonderful to spend most of the time in the secluded garden where we can eat and sit out taking the sun. The house lay out makes it all so easy. This time when we went it was "monsoon" weather! Despite this, we had a lovely time and had cosy evenings around the wood burner.
Osuna is such a pretty place - lovely old wooden doors which when open gives you the opportunity to see the lovely courtyards hidden behind them. From the house, you can easily walk to the local supermarket - which has anything you could possibly want. There are some lovely tapas bar but the best is just at the bottom of the road - just a short walk there and back. Wonderful!
From Osuna, you can visit lovely places - Seville, Ronda, Granada to name a few. I feel if you go to Spain and feel being in the clubs of Malaga is the sort of holiday you want - then staying in this lovely home is not going to be for you, but if you want to experience the Spanish way of life, and no tourists, you have come to the right place - take a "small car" though as the streets are very narrow!! I hope you'll enjoy your stay as much as we did.

“One of our favourite places to go on holiday.”
Reviewed 8 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

This was our third stay in Osuna and it's starting to feel like a home from home. It's a lovely town, delightfully un-touristy with as much or as little to do as you choose. The house is fantastic, very comfortable with lots of space for kids both inside and out - it's also big enough for two families to stay, which is how we did it. Jeremy is the perfect host - there's loads of information on things to do, places to eat and logistics of the town within the house, and if there are any problems he will sort them out immediately. We love it here and would recommend it to anyone. We'll certainly be coming back again.
