well what I can say the welcome we got was excellent roseleen could not do enough for us it's ten out of ten and the locals are lovely made us feel welcome well worth a visit
We are staying here for six days starting off our first trip to Ireland. The wonderful Rosaleen greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the house, it's HUGE! Three large bedrooms, one with an ensuite, a huge bathroom, downstairs toilet, lovely backyard, large kitchen and lounge. Wifi is included, there are two TVs, the one in the lounge has Sky channels. There was a starter kit of groceries which you don't often find when renting on airbnb. Ballymote is a lovely little village full of interesting history and a twenty minute train drive from the larger town of Sligo, I'd recommend the area to anyone travelling to Ireland. And when you do visit, you simply must stay at this wonderful house.
From the moment we arrived we knew we had picked a super holiday house. Rosaleen was so warm and friendly showing us around. The house is situated on the outskirts (5minute walk) of Balymote. The area is so quiet. The children had plenty room to play out the front or relax in the back garden. The park beside the house has a castle to explore and a great playground. The house is ideal for a family, everything we could possibly need was there and in great condition. The little starter pack on arrival was a lovely touch! The local pub Doddys is very quaint. We travelled to Strandhill and other local attractions, it was a great location. The beds were so comfortable! Definitely recommend this rental.
The house was lovely and very clean. Good location easy walk in to town. The host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.
Would stay again.
This charming place is a short walk from downtown Ballymote (less than 5 minutes), a short walk (also about five minutes) past the old castle to the train station for a 15 minute ride into Sligo Town. Very comfortable beds, modern kitchen with all the utensils you need for cooking and eating. An added plus - this is the only accommodation I have found in the west of Ireland, and only the second in all of Ireland where there is a clothes washer and dryer on premises. Parking right in front. Large refrigerator and freezer. What's not to like? Can hardly wait to return.
