Fantastic for Bangladesh

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Oct 12, 2012via mobile
Great rooms and modern and clean. Best hotel I stayed in Bangladesh. A bit soulless but a welcome change from grubby. I was the only person in the dining room but fish was excellent. Great value at $40 per night

I was in my Honeymoon trip in Cox's Bazar and one evening suddenly came across this magnificent hotel. the look i found on my hubby's face simply indicated that he was eager to explore it and so did i. later on we came to know that the place wasn't in full operation though, but we could have a look at inside and we went to the restaurant section. i was simply amazed by their hospitality and the food was excellent! when the authority came to know that we were newly married, they gave us complimentary drinks and let us detour the whole hotel with escort. i will never forget the experience. their grandeur and hospitality made a deep impression on a newly wed couple. i don't remember the name of the person who attended us in the restaurant but my heartiest gratitude to his generosity. may they prosper day by day and i wish them all the best.

The first thing I really liked about this place wasn't the huge building or the comfy interior, but the bright smile of the doorman who opened the door for us. When I went in, everyone smiled and greeted us, and I somehow felt better instantly. Their rooms are big enough, clean sheets, they have all appliances and it was simply perfect. I also liked how they didn't charge extra for the swimming pool, the sauna, the steam room and the gym. It proves that these people aren't just looking for every single way to get money from the people, that they actually care and think of the comfort of the customer unlike all the other hotels. Their restaurant has good food, their spaghetti bologna was like an explosion of delicious flavors in my mouth. But most of all, I liked their hospitality, they were always these to help when we needed anything. They got anything in my room is seconds, service was absolutely magnificent.

When I first came to cox's Bazaar, I wasn't really that excited at all but this hotel made my trip MUCH better. I felt relaxed and content.

And the internet speed is really good for a country like Bangladesh, I am in the room using it right now!

The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast. I was hoping for more varieties. It was more bengali based, there weren't many continental choices. They could have cereal or oatmeal, or maybe take a separate order for egg instead of preparing it beforehand. Although I know people here are not too crazy for healthy food, I really wished they would have had brown bread, it's a much healthier choice and that's something we always have to look out for.

In conclusion, an amazing place to stay and I would definitely recommend staying here if you ever come to Cox's Bazaar. Ocean paradise, keep it up!

Room tip: The ones with the balcony are more spacious, and they cost the same. So if those are available, definitely choose that.

This was my first trip outside Dhaka with my wife alone. Though we planned the holiday much earlier but still our trip was uncertain at the last moment due to urgent official issues.
Anyway we managed to take couple of days and started for cox's bazar. We travelled by greenline (scannia) bus service and found the bus really comfy though the journey was really hectic due to traffic. It took us almost 15 hours to reach cox's bazar and at the bus stop, we were received by hotel pick service.
The hotel is also quiet near to the beach and it takes only 5 minutes by rickshaw to the beach.
After entering the hotel premises, we forgot all our tiredness went away as we found the hotel to be excellent! What was really amazing about the hotel is the service that they provide. In a word its exceptional! All the staffs are well behaved and a smile on their face all the time which was really wonderful.
Rooms are well decorated with all the modern amenities in it. The only thing that is negative is that they dont have remote for the AC that is the controller is fixed in the wall.
Bathroom is also very well equipped with all the facilities of a five star hotel. The pool side is also very nice and best for relaxing.
Breakfast that they provide is also good though not like 5 star hotels in Dhaka or of other countries but still quiet good.
Room rate in the off season is quiet reasonable because of the discount that the provide is lucrative.
All together this is one of the best hotels in Bangladesh I must say and one must miss staying in Ocean paradise while visiting Cox's Bazar.
The greatest asset of the hotel is their excellent staffs which has definitely taken the hotel to new heights!!
I have truly enjoyed my stay in this hotel and would definitely love to visit again.

Room tip: Sea view facing rooms with balcony. If possible superior deluxe as they have bath tubs.

The stay in this hotel was just amazing. Even though we only stayed two nights, the good service and wonderful features of the hotel made this time very special for us. We stayed in one of the rooms with balcony and sea view and enjoyed it very much. The room was beautiful, very comfortable and super clean. All services, from airport service to room cleaning were reliable and very good. The whole hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help whenever a question arises. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much. It was very delicious and the breakfast buffet offered different bengali and international breakfast items. The pool area is very nice too and if we come back to Cox's Bazar, we would definetely stay in this hotel again.
