I've visited many term several times. This was a new one for me. You must have a car to get there. The hotel was very comfortable and the room simple but also very comfortable. I loved the dinners in the Hotel. It made it very convenient after a long spa day.

Room tip: We experienced the ability to change rooms if we wanted a better view.

A charming little hotel with lovely thermal pool, the modest establishment is definitely not for the meek. The staff, especially in the dining room , is very friendly, the food typically Tuscan, but fresh, and often organic or biodynamic. Breakfast is lots of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, bread with ham and cheese. The rooms are clean- there is an elevator- and the price is very reasonable. Our 4- night stay, with 2 rooms, 2 extra dinners for 2, and one massage was 550 Euros. Beware: there is a single occupancy surcharge which is not quoted in the price, but added afterwards when you get the bill.
The biggest negative for us was access. Parking is along the road with a potentially long hike up when it gets crowded. The pool is located way below the hotel, requiring a long walk up and down with many stairs. Even when one drives to the parking lot, there are still many stairs.
We went too late in the season, making the water too hot to enjoy in the heat. One should come here in either spring or fall. Of the many hill towns nearby, Pienza is particularly charming.

The hotel and it's pool are not what you go to see. The hotel is right next to the terme so rooms just fill with sulfur air making them smell like rotten eggs. No air conditioning to help with this only a few rooms have AC. The pool is small and decorated in a completely tacky fashion. You need to ignore the pool and hike to the real pools that they have partially blocked off because those are free. If you do stay, eat at the restaurant diagonally to the right of the hotel across the street.

We were a bit worried bringing two children under 5 to the spa for a weekend, but this was unfounded. The thermal pool is very large, loads of places to sit, umbrellas and sun, and the staff was kind. Spa treatments could have been better, but overall a good experience. There is a wonderful enoteca and family run restaurant directly across the street from the hotel, highly recommend trying it. Wonderful tuscan dishes and the best olive oil I have ever had.
