I met a group of friends here yesterday for brunch, none of us had been there since the change of owners and none of us were that impressed. The waitress was really friendly and professional but that's where the good review ends.
3 of us ordered an egg and bacon baguette which arrived at the table quickly, then there was a 5 minute wait for the next 2 meals, another 5 minutes for the next one, another 5 for the scrambled ages order and finally the poached eggs order arrived. By that time half of us had eaten our meals.
The toast for the scrambled and poached eggs was just plain white bread, no butter and wet and soggy with the scrambled eggs. My friends did not want to complain as it took so long to get their food and they were pretty hungry.
I won't be going back.

Stopped in here en route to Cowes as we liked the look of outdoor seating.

We enjoyed a glass or 2 of wine and a shared plate for two which consisted of prawn, chorizo, calamari, chicken, haloumi, marinated olives & Turkish bread & homemade dips and watched the world go by. Had a nice chat with the owner who was jovial and happy to gives us some tips on what to do in Phillip Island.
It was a glorious autumn day and we had fun!

We took the family to the Phillip Island Penguins last week and decided to stop for an early dinner before the visit. We are foodies and really enjoyed the mains. My Parma was a huge (normally they are never big enough) and my wife's salad was great. Kids enjoyed it and played in the games room before we went on to the Penguins. It was a great way to loose the afternoon while we waited for the evenings activity.

Tried to go to Cape Woolamai Tavern for dinner with my wife and some friends, however there were several people smoking at the tavern's outside tables right next to the door. We stood inside for a couple of minutes, but no staff attempted to offer us any service. Cigarette smoke was blowing straight inside to where people were eating, so we left. Was not impressed.

Can't comment on the food, as we didn't end up staying to eat.

After wading through the river of piss accumulating in the male bathroom, my family and I wait in line for 15 minutes to order our meals. We are told by the bar staff that "he doesn't like our chances of getting a starter before our mains" and that in contrast to the menu the "seafood tapas doesn't include fish".
After quite a few over priced beers later one meal appeared without cuttlery. Ten minutes later 5 more meals appeared and finally some cuttlery. Starter still knowwhere to be seen.
We then waited patiently for our last two meals and after a significant wait and all six other family members had finished, we then asked the staff if our two last meals had been forgotten? They replied "asking for your meals would slow the "chef" down and he doesn't want to ask because the "chef" / owner would yell at him".
Not long after one more meal appeared with some stone cold wedges. We then decided to take these back and were met with a very aggressive "chef"/ owner. "Good luck getting the rest of your meals" was his response.
He then appeared at our table to confront us and tell us that he doesn't enjoy the business over summer and that he isn't a restaurant and we should be going to a restaurant in future. This is fine by us.
As being locals we have tried to support the local businesses however every time we walk away feeling disappointed from this venue.
