“Fantastic Place to stay”
Reviewed 15 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We spent two weeks at this lovely apartment at the end of Aug. The Apartment is clean and fresh and the Double bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have had the pleasure of sleeping in while on holiday. There is roughly forty apartments in the development but probably only about 5 where being used when we stayed which meant we virtually had the pool to ourselves. The roof terrace is fantastic and the balcony is a great spot for breakfast.
There is currently no wifi in the apartment.

The Apartment is on the edge of town and a 20-25 min downhill walk to the old town.
There is a fantastic bakery/Patisserie just on the main road about a 5min walk away and also a supermarket(no fruit,Veg) which is handy for basics. Along the main road into town there are plenty of various shops/cafes/banks.

Would just like to recommend the night boat trip to Stomboli. It was fantastic to see the Lava rolling down the Volcano at night. You can get the boat from Vibo marina a 4 min train ride from Pizzo at about 1pm and returns at about 11.30pm. We bought our tickets from a tabacchi shop in Vibo marina a couple of days before we went and arranged a taxi back with chiccio in his tuc-tuc. If you find him in the square I'm sure he could arrange the trip for you.

“Fantastic roof terrace, pool and views”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

A lovely compact apartment in modern complex, much bigger complex than we realised from the pictures. A 20 minute walk into Pizzo town but plenty shops, places to eat nearby. The neighbourhood is typically slightly rundown Italian but everyone is very friendly and welcoming even though not much English spoken. We had fun using our very basic italian. We didn't hire a car but we enjoy walking but for those who don't it might be too remote. Pizzo is built on steep hill down to the sea so have to be able to deal with steps...lots of them. Helped us counter all the lovely food and wine we discovered.
It suited our family and teenage boys. Loved the pool and the terrace. Located in an unusual area surrounded by residential flats.

“Lovely Appartment, even better roof top terrace and breathtaking views....a little slice of Italian heaven”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 for a stay in September 2013

My girlfriend and I stayed here after a weekend in Rome and we were amazed that just a few hours after boarding the train and a 20 minute cab we were sitting atop a fantastic (and huge) roof terrace watching the sun go down over a smouldering Stromboli!

The apartment itself has everything you need, the master bedroom is spacious and the bed is simply lovely (I definitely agree with the other reviews on this) and although we didn't need to use the spare room I could see how the apartment could easily sleep 5 or more.

The apartments location is fantastic, every morning we woke and instantly felt like locals wandering the 5 minutes down the road to the bakery and local deli to pick up breakfast for the day. It is also only a short trip in the car (maybe 10 mins) to some great white sand beaches and even at the time of year we were there the water was warm...pack your sun cream though as the weather was lovely!

Oh and one final thing I would definitely recommend heading to SPQR (one of the pizzerias in Pizzo square, 10 mins walk from the apartment) without doubt the best pizza we had in Italy.....cant wait to go back!

“Stunning views and perfect location - will definitley be returning next year!”
Reviewed 30 December 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Just a short taxi ride from the airport (and train station), this stunning property was exactly what we needed after 3 busy nights in Rome. We were welcomed by a modern and clean, two bedroom apartment, with TWO private terraces - one bigger than our back garden! Perfect areas for relaxing and dining.
We were very surprised at how warm it was considering the time of year, which was perfect for exploring the many local beaches. Our stay was fairly short and so we decided not to hire a car, which didn't hinder us at all as the delightful little Pizzo square was just a short walk from the apartment, down quaint cobbled streets - real Italy! A few minutes from the square were two lovely beaches. For those staying for more than three days, I'd recommend hiring a car as we were told by the locals that there are also some stunning beaches just a short drive along the coast.
The food for us was one of the highlights - the square was littered with pizzerias, ice cream cafes and bars, serving some of the best food we'd had in Italy.
All in all, a great trip and fantastic apartment - can't wait to go back!

“Delightful appartment in wonderful location - an excellent base to explore the southern reaches of Italy!”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This property is within 25 mins drive of Lamizia airport and located far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Pizzo but close enough to join in if you wish to do so. The amenities in the appartment were excellent, along with the swimming pool. Furnishings were excellent - the best bed I've slept in - apart from my own! This delightful appartment has spectacular views from the roof terrace. Whilst the roof terrace has sun all day long, a smaller balcony gives you shade if required. The air conditioning was first class. Supermarkets, bread shops etc were nearby. Secure car parking. An excellent base to explore the southern reaches of Italy. Excellent service - Highly recommended.

“Fabulous sunset views across the bay from rooftop solarium”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We toured around Sicily and then crossed over to stay at this beautiful apartment in Pizzo. For us the location was really perfect - just on the edge of Pizzo (so not too noisy) but close enough to walk into the town and beach - about 10 mins or so, although we did find it hot walking with all our gear,so usually parked quite close to the beach or town square. It was easy to find the appartment and there was plenty of parking space for our car. The pool was a couple of minutes walk away (with reclining sunbeds and umbrellas) and it was great relaxing on the sunbed looking up to the mountains beyond.
The apartment was clean with a well equipped kitchen (huge fridge/freezer - essential with the temperatures we experienced!), good sized bathroom (with very useful washing machine!). We didn't take children but the apartment has an unbelievable array of games/books etc for children so I think it would be perfect for a family. The bedrooms were spacious and there was a sitting room with table and chairs if we wanted to sit inside. Not that we ever did sit inside - we found the balcony was perfect for taking our breakfast (after collect Italian pastries etc from a bakery around 5 mins walk away and would usually go up to the huge rooftop solarium in late afternoon evening. Sipping a chilled glass of limoncella or wine whilst watching the sun setting over the sea was a real delight! We really loved this area. Pizzo is a great place for swimming, people watching, eating and drinking and just soaking up the wonderful Italian sun and hospitality. During our stay we drove into the mountains of the National Park, visited Tropea and went on a boat trip visiting the volcanic islands (including Stromboli) - all of which I would definitely recommend. We hadn't realised we could have taking a trip from Vida Marina which would have been much closer for a 7.30 am pick up! There are local taxis and tuc tucs but I think it would be less enjoyable to stay here without a car. We would highly recommend this apartment and the owners couldn't have been more helpful giving us advise along the way.
