Replaced with new restaurant.........Coconut Joe's
Tobermory’s Newest
Tobermory’s newest restaurant opened today. Beautiful waterfront location
with Caribbean vibes. The chef has traveled extensively through the Caribbean Islands and S. America to perfect his trade. And perfect it is. Just the right amount of spice for every palette. Great beer and wine list. Even a
prime rib burger cooked the way you like it. Big event next Saturday with
Landshark Beer girls. Nice departure from the pub environment.
Try it— you’ll like it.

Great Italian food right next to the water. Beautiful view while enjoying a delicious meal. Attentive and friendly staff, well presented meals. Only down side when we were there was they seemed to be short staffed, most likely because it was on the Labour Day weekend. The meal made up for the wait.

Our visit was certainly a nicer experience than my two previous attempts when they still had that silly blackboard menu and inedible pasta. The "new" printed menu now has a nice range of Italian options and while the total bar service remains a few beers from a glass fronted cooler and a limited range of wines, the food has been upgraded significantly...to a point.

My salad was a nice presentation but the greens were totally wilted.

The fettuccine with seafood was delectable with the pasta nicely al dente and a very thick (cheesy) but succulent sauce. The shrimp (2) were nicely done as were the scallops (2) and the mussels (4) while the small pieces of calamari (2) were hidden in the pasta. Not great value for $23. The red house wine (Merlot) was pricey at $7.50 a glass but at least it was 2/3rds of a good-sized glass and not the usual pretentious "6 oz" you're usually offered.

We really enjoyed our meal at Molinari's! We sat at a table outside at sunset. The service was attentive and friendly. They were welcoming of our well-behaved 7yo and attentive to our needs.

The bruschetta was just divine - lots of plump, juicy and sweet tomatoes with a sweet balsamic glaze. The caprese salad with spinach was also delicious, as was the garlic toast with parmesan.

For mains, the spaghetti had a delicious bright tomato sauce and a firm noodle. Fabulous! We had the carbonara with zucchini and pancetta - also very delicious. We also had the alfredo. Everything was perfect!!

We thoroughly enjoyed every bite from start to finish!! We can't wait to come back. :)

The best view in town, near the water at the end of the docks.
Great italian food - amazing quality, great service.
Much less pricey than other decent restaurants in town.
