What an amazing winter escape! The property has some great snowmobile trails that we love to snowshoe and cross country ski on!! Its a great value for the room with the kitchen (since most things are closed in Tobermory during the winter months), and we love to cook! The rooms are nice and clean, and pet friendly!! The owners are very friendly and kind and are just a shout away if you need anything!

Both myself and my Dad have made different trips to the Bruce Peninsula over the years, but neither of us had seen it in the winter. Trips to the Bruce usually involve camping, but since we could only stay 2 nights, we weren't interested in setting up camp, especially in the winter. While researching cabin rentals, (most of which have a minimum of 1 week stay, and were extremely expensive) I stumbled upon Hidden Valley Motel and I'm glad I did. We were able to book a two night stay just after Christmas for a great price. The setting, décor, and view are cabin-like, but the room was very comfortable and convenient like a motel. Since the motel is dog friendly, we were able to include our dogs on the trip. The owners were very friendly and welcoming of us and our two 100+ pound dogs. The dogs were able to run on the large property, and we also made the short drive to the National Park. It was a great getaway, with lots of great memories and photos, wish it could have been longer. We hope to visit again one day.

The price of $70 per night and the location was the main reason we chose to stay here. Very nice property and great hosts and they have a playful little dog too. The bedding/towels and washroom looks a bit dated and could use some improving and perhaps more than just 1 hand towel. Although it doesn't look it when you first enter the room, the bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night sleep. Comes with fridge (with freezer), microwave, coffee maker, all of which worked perfectly. Even Satellite TV and excellent internet! Looks like the floor for the room and the bathroom are very new. Only thing missing that one would expect at a regular hotel or motel was that it didn't have a kleenex box. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again for the price and location.

Nice, clean rooms. The surrounding was awesome - calm and perfect for a weekend away from the city. There was a pond nearby and greenery as far as you can see. The owner was very sweet. There are no restaurants nearby so I would recommend using barbecue at the location.

The setting of Hidden Valley Motel was lovely, as were the hosts. I didn't mind the rustic decor, as I was expecting that. However, the beds were uncomfortable with old and insufficient bedding. The beds only had sheets and bedspreads without duvets or comforters, and we were cold despite having visited in August. The towel were old and shabby, and the refrigerator was very loud. Also, the wifi didn't work.
