Great hotel with lots of fun for the kids and great value for the parents with pleasant service, good restaurant (buffer and a la carte) and spacious clean rooms. Location is at the beach and could be windy so bring warm clothes if you visit during autumn/winter.

We rented the hotel bikes and biked around the area. Nice location to bike in.
The beach is long and nice. The lobby and seating area is beautiful with open fireplace and nice seating areas. They have a nice indoor pool as well. The staff is excellent, especially the employees in the lobby. Very helpful. Room had a great view over the grounds and the beach. Would definitely go back there again. The area around is very nice and the bike ride to the marina was about 5 min. There were several restaurants there. Nice place.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view over the beach!

I stayed overnight at hotel Riviera in August 2017.

The hotel is located a few kilometers north of Båstad, next to the beach.
The hotel is modern and grounds are well manicured, if giving an artificial feeling (the grass is).
There is a spa and swimming pool but those cost extra.

The suite is actually a self-contained apartment with mini kitchen and sleeping place for four people (more on that later). The main room is nicely decorated if rather dark.

The main bed was was unexpectedly small (140cm wide) but comfortable.
Four people can sleep in a suite, just note that two will be in bunk beds, in the corridor if behind a curtain.

Bathroom was adequate in size with a washing machine for longer stays. Shower gel and shampoo were provided but no soap, which is a surprising oversight.

Service was overall fine with one other exception. Great staff at check-in and in the restaurant, but I was not impressed by the lady at check out which was only interested whether I used the minibar, so much so in fact that she asked twice!
But there was no interest in in my report that some lights were out and that it could be nice for the next guest to have them changed.

Breakfast was good, with a large selection. Bonus points for the quality of the tea offered.

All all, I have mixed feelings. The hotel is targeting the high end vacationers, and the price reflect that. But for a 4-star hotel charging more than 2000:- per night, the bed could be larger; sauna and swimming pool available at a more reasonable fee and the staff at the checkout trained to show interest towards customers beyond the mini-bar consumption.

I was on a business trip and stayed here for one night, the hotel is lovely and well appointed, the rooms would easily sleep a family of four and have a small kitchen area, dinning table and 4 chairs along with a lounge area and balcony. The hotel is in the middle of a small residential area with nothing else around it. It is reasonably expensive to stay here along with the restaurant and bar also being the same. The hotel is right on the beach which is really nice and it has an indoor pool. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully located just on the beach this modern resort will cater for all your needs. The rooms are smartly designed and will easily fit four persons with a small kitchen area and kitchen table. All rooms seem to have a large balcony, some with a view over the sea.

You won't need to leave this place: once you parked your car (spacious indoor garage for SEK 100 per night) you will have access to a relatively well equipped gym and all kinds of outdoor activities (badminton, table tennis). Also there are sofa groups in the corridors with pool tables and fussball games. The indoor pool area looked nice (not included).

Best is of course the beach which provides several kilometers of nice walks.

Restaurant serves good food, but be sure you have reserved a table in advance! Food is well prepared, and you pay for it.

All in all, a very good stay to enjoy beach and facilities, but on the pricey side.

This place is just awesome for those who find themselves in Bastad for the tennis weeks in July. The hotel (more like a complex of apartments) is basically located in the woods, very near the sea - at some 2km away from the harbour, and the tennis stadium. The apartments are luxurious, nicely furnished in IKEA style, offering all the necessary amenities one would need for a few-days stay, and also a great balcony with a fantastic view. The hotel also has gym, pool and jacuzzi in open air, by the sea. Even though in the area, aside from the water, there's not much to see - the hotel itself is offering plenty of spare-time activities: pool table, backgammon/chess board, lounge, so on. The breakfast is also quite consistent and it opens up before 7am even in the weekend days. The apartments are very nice and clean, ready to stay at all times. I have only encountered one tiny design-flaw, concerning the wall beds: the top one was actually hanging on the wall, so in the dark I managed to hit my head pretty bad in it :-) And if there is anything missing, as far as I can tell - by the swedish housing standards - that has to be the bathroom heated floors, which might turn out to be very pleasant during the long rainy days which aren't rare in Skane. I have also noticed there are no blinds or heavy curtains at the living/balcony windows, which surprised me considering that in June/July the nights in Sweden aren't that dark; there is however a curtain by the bed, so it was just ok.

Room Tip: if you cannot walk long take a room close to the stairs
