This is such a beautiful hotel. After touring our way through the rest of Italy, we arrived in this fabulous setting with a view to relaxing for a few days. The gardens around the hotel are like a botanical garden while the hotel itself benefits from modern technology and the fact that every little detail has clearly been considered. The bedroom was spectacular and we had stunning views of the gardens as well as Vesuvius itself. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and there is so much to choose from - all homemade and tastes amazing. The poolside is modern with beanbags rather than the traditional sun loungers. The surrounding area of Ercolano is not the most tourist friendly and is a very traditional Naples town. However, the hotel is close to some great tourist spots and the hotel staff are able to recommend places for dinner and exploring. The only things I would suggest for this hotel would be that they need to consider their hotel guests when other events are taking place. We experienced a wedding (which took over the hotel) and a movie being filmed in the 5 days we were there. We did not mind this at all but forewarning would be nice as we felt we were forgotten a little during this hectic time. Secondly, they could advertise the pool bar and lunch menu a lot more. We were unaware that we could get drinks while at the pool until we saw another couple receiving theirs. This would be a great way of the hotel making money if it was only more obvious. This hotel is a haven in the midst of a very busy town, coming there was a luxurious ending to a travelling holiday. I have, and will continue to, recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit this area of Italy. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Room Tip: All rooms have amazing views but ones at the front look onto Vesuvius

We arrived for our 2 night stay 10/10/18 The property is hidden from the streetview like an oasis in the busy city close to the ruins of Herculaneum The staff was so friendly and hospitable from the moment we arrived and for our entire stay arranging transport to historic sites and tours to Amalfi and Sorrento

LOVELY hotel surrounded by gorgeous gardens.

The staff are all very helpful, polite and friendly, especially Francesco on reception and Pepe who speaks little English but makes you feel more than welcome and goes the extra mile for you (being the main driver for the shuttle service and all). They both deserved a ‘bottiglia’.

The shuttle service is a really handy way to travel to different areas. This service can drop you at Ercolano train station at 9:30am, 10:30am, and 11:30am and collect you at 16:30pm, 17:30pm and 18:30pm upon request. If you wish to stay out later like we did then there is a taxi driver they use which only costs €15 euros back to the hotel - he was also very friendly.

The hotel and rooms are immaculate; modern but eligant. There are various places to chill out and relax at the hotel, whether it being by the poolside or the balcony on giant comfy beanbags.

We were delighted with our stay and are very grateful to all the staff. We would definitely recommend to couples, families, weddings and business visits.

Thank you to all of those at II San Cristoforo

Newly built hotel with good standards. Incredible garden! Very helpful staff and good service. Has a free shuttle bus (except for a small toll fee) to nearby ercolano train station a few set times in the morning and then a few set times back in the afternoon.
Unfortunately we only spent one night and didn't have time to enjoy all of the premises.
One thing that was a bit hard was to find the place when we arrived by car. Google maps led us to the backside from the airport, and a sign or two from there would be helpful. We arrived at midnight, but the night staff helped us find the entrance when we called the hotel.
