Nice hotel, it’s about a hotel 15 minute can drive out of town which can be a good or bad thing. Pools are big and nice, beach has small rock stones but it’s enjoyable once you get in the water. Nice restaurants to the left of the hotel as your looking out on the water along the marina. Rooms nice and comfortable, ask front desk for the offsite laundry person...you can walk to their house And they will do your laundry.

We have booked a nice superior room with the sea view at LeMeridien Lav Podstrana Hotel. And it was great, view was superb, SPA was great, staff were really friendly. The only problem was that there was not too much to do around Podstrana. For that reason we took bus nr. 60 to Split and participated at some tours over there.

This place has so much to offer. Top quality restaurants. Buzzing night club. Horizon pools. A private beach. And the most amazing spa complex in the entire country. The rooms are of high quality. And we loved the kids club where the care was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back again.

Staying at Le Meridien Lav Split was truly a highlight of our trip to Croatia. This hotel is beautiful and relaxing, and it has something for everyone. The hotel boasts a spa, indoor pool, outdoor pool, beach, casino, coffee and champagne bar, yacht rentals, shopping, tennis, and event space. There's even a very chic beachfront nightclub within walking distance. True, you are a 20-minute shuttle ride from Split, but that worked out very well for us. We enjoyed sightseeing in Split, but then being able to escape the tourists in the evening to relax at Le Meridien. Be sure to leave a day for lounging at the beach and pool. The roped off swimming area is complemented by lounge chairs, umbrellas and bar service.

Platinum Starwood members are given the royal treatment. In addition to small gifts at check in, there is a special section for members in the dining room at breakfast as well as a special concierge. We were given a suite with a sitting area and separate bedroom. The room wasn't particularly luxurious, but it was certainly attractive, clean, and functional, and the views were fantastic. The bathroom was quite large with separate shower and tub. On the last day of our stay we were assigned a smaller room. It would have been nice to have known that we'd be asked to move, as packing up does entail a bit of time and effort; however, the second room was perfectly suitable and had very similar decor to the first.

We loved the hotel's breakfast. It's a large buffet with plenty of fresh fruit and something for every taste. The whipped goat cheese with herbs and local honey were highlights. Dinner at the beachfront restaurant was fabulous as well. Who doesn't enjoy dining on fresh seafood outside with a lovely view?

We found Le Meridien's staff members to be friendly and very well-informed. We would love to visit this property again.

Room Tip: Try for a waterfront view

An extraordinary location on the Adriatic Sea. The facilities are amazing and the staff SO professional. The area has many amenities to explore by land and sea.

The weather in Sept. is still very pleasant but not crowded.
