This is a small caffe that you could walk right by and miss. But don't! We were there on a rainy day and it was packed. There's a back room that was filled with male workers eating lunch and a smaller side room that was filled too. Others have written that you don't go here for the ambiance and that's true--our view was of the cold drink refrigerators. Even so, go here for the home cooked food and great service. They were happy to create our desired combinations of pasta and sauces. Our firsts were homemade tagliatelle with artichokes and grana. Fabulous! And fusilli with fresh pumpkin, pecorino and walnuts. We don't eat red meat and Paolo was super accommodating. We do eat chicken, so he suggested grilled chicken with grana and rucola as a second course. That was very good.Excellent! If you are in or near Tavernelle, make sure to come here for a meal!
