We had a lovely time at the farm. Loved picking the great quality and value fruit and veg and of course, pumpkins. It was VERY busy on the way in but didn’t feel too bad once we were out in the fields and well managed etc. The only big disappointment was the amount of PLASTIC BAGS. Come on garsons! Sort it out!

You have to be selective of what you choose on the menu - but on the whole a good selection and large portions. I wouldn't go for the typical pub food items - I go for the ham hock and smoked cheddar croquettes and they never disappoint - service good be better.

Heartbreakingly disappointing now. Have been visiting and SPENDING! at Garson's regularly for years, but no longer. The last couple of visits have seen further disappointments. The restaurant is far too expensive....offering average food which lacks choice and variety..... and this week we noticed that the garden plants are no longer being maintained with many now in poor condition. Garson's used to have great character with quality products and a fab restaurant and gardens. Now it looks more like a slightly upmarket Homebase. We won't be returning. Soooo sad...

Dear liz t,

We've spent the last three years investing in our buildings, product range and service levels.

I'm pleased to say we now have a brighter, modern building, whilst continuing the Garsons quality and spirit that's developed over the past 147 years.

We're sorry you did not see this, but hope you'll visit us again soon.

Met a friend here for the first time
Lived not far for many years but did t even know such a large garden centre existed nearby !

The cafe at 4 pm on a Friday was not busy but it was noisy
Staff was depleted and it took 5 mins to get a cup of tea and a cold drink past the self serve till

I don’t think they should call themselves a garden centre any more. It’s now a large shop selling plants as an afterthought. The restaurant was rebuilt a few years ago. It looks nice, but food is very much third rate. The menu is quite limited. Yesterday I queued for about ten minutes to place my order. My husband had chicken curry which came with poppadom and raita. It was actually half a poppadom and a tiny amount of raita poured onto curry which seemed to be a ready meal.
