Even though we have been going to Oasis at least yearly for about 11 years, (once a year at least and sometimes twice a year) going there is never disappointing or boring. Having said that, the resort is small, intimate, and although very well kept, not 5 star luxury. This however is more than made up for by fantastic and helpful staff, a location that is very difficult to beat, and for any true fan of authentic Caribbean experience, this is the real deal.
Also be "warned" this resort is for people who are willing and able to create their own itinerary, as the staff, although very knowledgeable and helpful do not try to "sell" activities, excursions, etc, to you (as is the case in virtually every big resort). They do have a very informative meeting on Sunday mornings (usually the day after Saturday arrival) where they will inform you about options for activities, excursions, meals, etc. They might even give you subtle hints as far as "no-go's" are concerned.
Once you have all the information, it is up to you to decide how interesting and adventurous you are going to make your stay, share your intentions with the staff, and they will be more and happy and helpful to get you going.
As far as the units are concerned, although not 5 star luxury, they are well constructed, well maintained, and meticulously house kept by friendly staff. Most if not all, of extra little bits and pieces that you might need, but not find in your unit, the staff will almost invariably supply and help you with. Also be aware, that the units have well equipped kitchens. Thus for those that decide to do self-catering (even just for some of your meals) the option is there, supported by a nice little supermarket/convenience store in the village just across the bay.
Apart from St Lucia in general, being probably one of the most beautiful and interesting islands/destinations in the Caribbean, Marigot Bay is certainly one of the GEMS on this island. Also Marigot Bay is situated almost midway between the northern tip and southern end of the island making it ideal to explore all the island has to offer in either direction . The tranquillity, shear beauty, and ambiance is difficult to beat. Oasis Marigot is perfectly situated in the bay to, on the one hand, give you some of the best views and vistas of the bay and surroundings, but on the other hand, just secluded enough across the bay (accessible only by water taxi/ferry) to give you sanctuary from the little hustle and bustle that may be going on in the bay and village itself from time to time.
We firmly believe that unless you are a typical 5 star all-inclusive resort/cookie-cutter vacation person, if you come away after a vacation in Marigot Bay (and more specific Oasis Marigot), with anything but positive memories and thoughts, the problem is with you and not Oasis Marigot.
Every time we go there, the overwhelming feeling is, one of being welcomed by friends to your "home away from home/family"
Be assured that Marigot Bay although covering a relatively small area, has apart from the tranquil oasis of Oasis Marigot, many other options and attractions including varied restaurants, people and mega yacht watching, water sport, hikes, etc.

Room Tip: All the units have different views of the bay and surroundings, but having stayed in a few different ones, we prefer units 6 and 7.

The Oasis is just that, an oasis. Located on the steep hillside above the Doolittle Hotel on the beach side of Marigot Bay, this truly charming location is the perfect self catering choice with little need to leave the bay.

This cottage has two levels: bedroom on lower level with air-conditioning, midway is bathroom/shower with hot water, with living/kitchen area with double double doors opening onto balcony on the top floor for an exquisite view of the harbor. This balcony also has deck chairs as well as dining table and chairs.

The kitchen has more than adequate number of cooking utensils, pots pans and dishes. New refrigerator and gas stove, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. The living space has a soft couch coffee table and ceiling fan.

Bedroom has a large 4 poster bed with mosquito netting, dressing table, closet, and doors that also open on to a balcony.

Frequent cleaning services offered at no extra charge. The only downfall is poor Wi-Fi.

Thank you Judith for your review of the Vacation Club located in Marigot Bay. We hope that you enjoyed your stay with us.
In regards to the Wi-Fi we are trying our best to improve the signal. We've added boosters on property to improve speed and signal. Base on our location in Marigot Bay, the cable is underwater and this is the best available option our service provider can offer. Our Wi-Fi is basic but good for emails & light browsing (as advertise on our website). We have a computer available at our Guest Services for guest to use which has great connection. We hope to welcome you back soon!

My family and I came to Saint Lucia for a 10 day vacation. What a treat! We stayed at the Great House which is perfect for a few families coming together. For us it was 8 total (6 adults and 2 kids). 3 of the rooms have AC, so it worked perfect for us. The house was very large, waaaay larger than it looks in photos. The view is top notch!! And the service was terrific. Before we arrived they assisted with transportation, groceries and a chef. I highly recommend that you take them up on the offer!! Though there is cost and a service fee for each...it is so worth it. We were able to immediately get to relaxing vs having to search for groceries, figure out where to eat etc for our first few days. Anslema is an AMAZING cook (she will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies if you get specific with her - she made vegan gluten/soy free meals for us)!! I highly recommend during your stay to book her at least once...we ended up having her 4 days in a row and boy was it worth it!! Her flavors and curry sauces are terrific!! Every room has beautiful views to wake up to. The kitchen is big enough for what you need, fully equipped. The accommodations were perfect. Christine was our housekeeper and she was super sweet. Even putting up with the days we still hung around the house as she cleaned. :) Oh and we celebrated my birthday during this visit, and to my surprise she decorated my room with balloons and a happy birthday sign!! It was so special. The pool is great - over looks the bay with breathtaking views. We had been to Saint Lucia 10 years prior staying in Rodney Bay area - I can say that Marigot Bay is by far more beautiful and relaxing. Tip: There is a secret small little beach you can walk to if you literally walk towards Villa Susanna from the Great House, then look to your left for a tiny wooden sign attached to a tree. You can hike down to the beach from there - its a little steeper, so I would advise wearing sneakers (otherwise you may slip on the way down like I did in flip flops ha!). Apparently boys like to cliff dive off of the rocks there (we didn't see any - but that would have been cool to see!). Also the other beach is only a short walk down the hill and a 45 second ferry across the way. Another tip: Doolittle's the cute restaurant across the way offers a free ferry if you are dining with them. We'd grab a cocktail and head to their pool (which you can use if you are a patron) or the beach. Nice extra bonus! Kayaking was lovely, and you can also do Stand Up Paddle Boarding. If you are planning on snorkeling I'd suggest hiring Denver with Shashamane Water Taxi (who happens to also be Anselma the cooks son). He will take you to amazing beaches and spots to snorkel, give a tour from off the coast and even offers a bbq beach lunch (which was delicious AND he totally accommodated vegan needs). And one last tip - definitely check out Masala Bay the Indian/Hakka place down by the ferry. It is really really really yummy Indian/Chinese cuisine with great service!! So all in all - Oasis Marigot is awesome, I have no doubt that the other homes are probably just as amazing. Definitely a must stay if you are visiting Marigot Bay!!

We loved staying here. The villa's are very clean, the view is spectacular and the Guest Services office are there to serve your every need, with a smile. Nadjhla always has a smile and both her and Miranda really want you to enjoy your stay, even if that means helping you do nothing. There is a 1 hour orientation Sunday morning to learn about all the possible activities on the Island. I highly recommend it, beside learning about activities and excursions, you will meet other guests who may be willing to share a cab or help meet a minimum # of people needed on some trips. We opted for the sail to Soufriere and the captain and staff were great. We had Guest Services make all our dinner reservations and they always requested a nice table. They will also arrange taxis and quote all prices so there are no surprises. They choose taxis and boat captains they trust and as they put it they know they "will be sober". We spent a lot of time on the deck each morning and it is so peaceful out there. We made friends with all the birds that arrived on the deck, even getting them to eat out of our hands. If you leave any food unattended, you will soon find them helping themselves, not much different than our dog at home, you learn not to leave food unattended. The villa's are impeccably clean and well maintained. The bed is comfortable and mosquito netting is provided. The doors and windows all have screens, but there are enough gaps that 2 or 3 might find their way in. We found this out the hard way, but closing the netting and the bedroom door resulted in no more nighttime bites. There is very effective air conditioning in the bedroom, although we didn't use it, it was on when we checked in. The full kitchen is great if you don't want to eat out every day. We brought oatmeal and had that every morning with fresh local bananas. And if you go out for dinner, you can take your leftovers home. The pool is small but not used by many. I went there a couple of times in late afternoon and was by myself. It is surrounded by beautiful plants and feels private. The beach is nice. The view of the bay is calm, although ferry boat traffic and an occasional returning or embarking party boat may pass by. The bay water is very warm for swimming and there was never a problem finding a chair. Oasis has it's own section and is the only section with the palm shades. There are people that will get you a drink and the beach is so relaxing. My only complaint is the locals who smoke (cigarettes and other) on behind us. We hate the smell of smoke and quickly learned where they sit. The locals are all very nice, one even offered moved for us so my wife and I could have the chairs under the shade. On the beach is a bar and some vendors who you will pass on your way to the ferry. They will say hello and try and get your attention hoping you will browse. They are among the least pushy vendors in the Caribbean and are always very cheery. Back to Oasis, the only warning I have is the climb up. You have to be in at least moderate shape. The tram they have is wonderful and will get you 95% of the way, but you have to get up at least a dozen steps to get to the tram, and depending on where your villa is may have to navigate some more. The tram is slow, don't be in a hurry and enjoy the ride, notice the trees and plants on the way. Also, the sound travels very well in the bay, so you will her every bark, every dingy and the music from the Doolittle. The air conditioner may help, but think of the music radio you play to fall asleep. These are minor things and if we return to St Lucia, we will absolutely return to Oasis. It was the best part of our trip.

For our visit to St. Lucia we chose Oasis Marigot, and we are very happy that we did. However, if you are looking for a lively atmosphere with entertainment this is absolutely not the place for you. The sign posted as you enter the property by way of a tram (it’s quite a climb otherwise) says “Quiet Zone” which sums it up. The villas are spacious and very nice but definitely not luxury. You need to know that there are no tv’s anywhere on the property; which was great for us. The decks off of the top floor are large and have incredible views of Marigot Bay as well as the Caribbean. If what you are looking for includes staying in intimate villas surrounded by incredible scenery then you should strongly consider Oasis Marigot.
