Decent hotel to stay in Sylvan Lake. It is a bit dated and could certainly use some upgrades. On the plus side, it is reasonably well located, close (10 minute walk) to the lake, yet far enough from the main drag to allow for restful sleep at night. Bed are also fairly comfortable and room service was provided daily.
Some of the cons were that the room was hot at night and the A/C unit was loud and blew cold air directly on the bed, so it was tricky to balance the temperature throughout the night. Also, the hotel has no elevator, so it is necessary to haul luggage through the staircase if staying on the upper floors. Lastly, windows have no bug screens so opening them is an invitation for mosquitoes and other insects to come inside the room.
