Great beach for the family and the dog lovers plenty of space and lots of places for the kids to explore. Malcom Campbell did the land speed record here so lots of history and his car is in the museum of speed at the beach. Lots of racing events are organised on the beach though out the summer with drag cars motorbikes and fast cars.

Visited on a wet Saturday luckily it had stopped raining, I should think it's excellent on a nice sunny day perhaps we will return again soon.

We were staying in Llanstefan which is gorgeous but the kids wanted to go in the sea so we had a drive to Pendine Sands. There's everything you need here, free toilets, cafes, lifeguards! Plus it's so peaceful and quiet with miles of golden sand. Plenty of jelly fish but you just need to be sensible. Dog friendly too, so lovely to see dogs able to race about on the sand.

We didn't visit the museum of speed but read up on it, it was really interesting knowing the history of the place.

You need change for the car park or you can park on the beach as the sand is really hard.

We came here 2 days because we enjoyed the first visit so much. Also a cliff walk if the beach gets boring! Managed to keep 6, 8, 11 and 14 year olds occupied which is a major plus !

Love this place. The tide goes far out and you can enjoy a long walk out to sea. I thought you aren't meant to have dogs on there until after the 30th Sept, but we (as did everyone else) had our dog off the lead and she loved running into the sea. There were beach wardens around who didn't seem to mind the dogs either.
Went for a paddle - but to be honest it was a little chilly.
