I rented at the Parguera using reference of my first visit there. With that said and time passing by, I can only say that all they have done is rent their rooms. I stayed in room 102 with a spectacular view and got the same impression on the hired staff; their excellence is second to known. However, the Manager of the Parador could use a little training on dealing with guests. The day after we arrived, I had a ask a question in mind and upon entering the dining room I saw an elegant older lady and proceeded to ask the the question; without even giving a good morning and or me asking a question, she said you can ask the staff. My interactions and surprised made forget even my question. Continuing, they have not done any renovations; rooms with depilated paint, bathroom with what it seemed lead paint, shower curtains and rods dating from the 1970's, outlets broken (could not plug in electrical cords without falling out). The parador offers great deal of amenities; however, they not always there ( i.e. Restaurant closed 90% of the time, etc, etc). For paying almost 200 dollars a night it is very poor. I really feel for the staff, as they are very helpful, sympathetic and great human beings.
