Location is fantastic with views across Buchan. Quite central for visiting this part of NE Scotland. Despite being on a working farm there was very little noise from livestock or machinery. Children loved playing with Meg, the farm dog, and watching sheep being moves and silage being cut and baled.
Rowan Cottage is modern, fully equipped and, with laminate floors throughout, is easy to keep clean. Everything you need for a week's holiday is provided, except food, obviously. The only item we looked for but couldn't find was a soup ladle but I'm sure Shirley would have found us one if we had asked.
Our only adverse comments, which reflects the overall quality of this property, was a lack of wardrobe space in bedrooms, although there is ample drawer space, laminate floors mean that sound carries through the house and a small part of the access road is a bit rough for an average family car. If these comments are the best I can come up with then any reader will surmise that this is a quality property which I have no hesitation in recommending.
