Just back from spending 6 days in this hotel. Having read all the reviews on here i was sceptical as to what to expect but we were all pleasantly surprised. Our party consisted of three generations and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We found the food to be of a good standard but it did become a bit monotonous. The waiters were very friendly and made a bit effort with the chldren. Our rooms were cleaned very well every day. We did find the French congregation a little stand offish and reluctant to mix. However all other nationalities were friendly and mixed well. The water in the pools was cold and the childrens pool had a deceptive drop. We watched numerous unprepared children and adults slip and go under the water. A warning should be put in place. There were two life guards we came across, the first was really friendly and never complained about us using floats in the pool. The second was grumpy and although there were three supervised children with three adults he made us take out all the floats. The entertainment in the evening was mixed (some good, some bad). The childrens disco was run by Monica. She was amazing with the children and kept all their attention. However, when the french holiday season arrived the fram team took over and the french children dominated the disco and other nationalities were not included very well. In general we found the hotel to be run well and the staff were all very friendly.

Myself and a couple of girlfriends stayed in the Aquamarina during our holiday in Golf del Sur. It was a last minute deal, and thought we would give it a go. We have been to Tenerife many, many times but never visited Golf del Sur before.

Our rooms were clean, tidy and functional. The hotel staff - receptionists, cleaners, bar staff, waiters etc were always friendly and attentive.

Overall the hotel, was very good exspecially given its price. We really loved the Golf del Sur too.

Just returned from our 1st time at this hotel in Golf del Sur, Tenerife and didn't quite do it for us.
Some of the food was quite nice, but got quite monotonous by the 4th day, same things for breakfast, same things for dinner, same things for evening meal. When a little variety did turn up the food was cold and and uninspiring. The "a la carte" restaurants were also a total let down.....the Canarian one was un-bookable all week, and the Argentinian one was little more than a barbecue. Also, outside of the main dining times, snacks were not available anywhere. All in all a disappointing attempt at "all inclusive" ! Kids club was not available....doesn't start until the French hlidays, and the waterfall pool was empty...guess the same applies to that as the kids club. A little tip for any Brits going here....don't book it during the Easter break. A million Spanish people flooded the hotel and the noise levels quadrupled instantly. Also with this influx, the restaurant became unable to cope with the amount of guests and there was huge queues for all meals for a lot of the time.
Rooms were clean and staff courteous. The beds were so hard it was almost unbelievable!!
Sorry but not enough to take us back for a 2nd visit.

Returned from the Aguamarina in March. The second time we have visited there. We cannot praise this hotel enough. Situated in a very beautiful quiet place with access to busier places.
Really clean the staff are very friendly, caring and helpfull. The food is excellent with lots of choice. I am a vegetarian and a coeliac but had no problems, They could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended we will return at some time in the future

Room Tip: Third floor rooms at the back have great views of the marina

Stayed for one week at end of march 2012. Hotel was very clean, our room was spacious and cleaned each day. The pool and surrounding areas were nice with plenty of 'unreserved' sunloungers, though some work still being undertaken, with the bridge over pool not in use and neither was the jacuzzi. Hotel is very quiet and has a feeling of being very isolated. The majority of guests are elderly as it is also used by SAGA holiday company. The 'all inclusive' is more like full board with local drinks included. It is very restricted to actual meal times with no snacks inbetween and bottled water rationed for 2 hours in the morning and evening. It is worth noting that all inclusive ends at midday on day of departure no matter what time you actually leave the hotel. The resort lets itself down with unfinished hotels around, though there are nice views of a man-made harbour and golf course. The nearest beach is half hour away on the hotel courtesy bus. Overall it is a good place to go for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea or pool view.

Although tis hotel is far from new it was spotless and well run. Our room was large and well appointed (a wash basin each in our double room). The buffet meals had a good variety of food and was well presented. On the down side as with most buffets the food could have been hotter. The staff were were pleasant and helpful. A few shops and bars were nearby but too quite for teenagers.

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms have sun most of the day

Stayed for one week in March. Husband had requested a quiet room on 3rd floor which we got (301). Although near the lifts we didn't hear a sound! Lovely corner balcony with sun in the morning and cooler late afternoon. Room large, twin beds pushed together as is the norm. Safe (extra charge), fridge, sofa, plenty of wardrobe space, but would have liked more drawers. Bathroom well-lit, yes the toilet and bidet are hidden behind walls with no door but presented no problems. Large bath towels, hand towels, changed every day. The wardrobe bar fell down when we were hanging up clothes but was fixed within an hour of reporting it, as was the switch on the bedside light (not fixed to wall properly). Lighting in the room wasn't bright enough but we managed. Our main complaint was the air conditioning - or should I say - lack of air conditioning!!! There is no temperature control, only a switch which allows air to be blown into the room but it is not cold air. Had slight disagreement with the chambermaid as our room kept being the last to be serviced (around 2.30pm) although we were first in the corridor! After exchanging words our room was cleaned first from then on!! Food in restaurant was varied, something for everyone. Fish, chicken, lamb, beef, pastas, rice, lovely salads, lots of vegetables and deserts to die for! I overindulged in the creme caramel and creme brulee! Fruit juices, coffee (only at breakfast, but disappointingly weak with a peculiar smell!) I agree that the coffee from the 'red machine' in the bar was better. Pools, cold but that's usual at this time of the year in Tenerife. Plenty of sunbeds, not the usual rush to put towels out, thank goodness. Lots of terraces to catch the sun in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Immaculately clean throughout the hotel. Staff very pleasant especially if you made the effort with a little spanish! Met some friendly French, English and Spanish guests. Animation team worked hard but were very amateurish, especially their 'Welcome Show' in the theatre which they kept calling the 'auditorium'! Nice area for walks either along the cinder track near the beach or by the golf courses. A few quiet bars, restaurants, and only saw a couple of shops (thank goodness - my husband says!!) We went for a quiet restful holiday and came away pleased that we achieved one!

Room Tip: Rooms 1 to around 20 overlook the pool and have sea views, especially from 2nd and 3rd floors
