me and my best friend spent new year here in the tamaimo tropical.
its a lovely quiet hotel with the most amazing views!!
rooms are large and kept clean along with pool area. rooms inc safe, kitchenette (fridge, kettle, small hob, some cups plates and cutlery) seating area and balcony. no hairdryer!
food is lovely although alittle repeative after the first few days you could still find something to eat!
there are 2 pool areas one is more for the children with the other more for adults reading and sleeping. both areas are nice but the sun moves around the pool during the day so you tend to keep moving to stay in the sun due to the hotel casting a large shadow.
theres not alot around this hotel so if you like to walk around shops and visit a few bars then this hotel properly isnt for you. there are a few resturants and bars but not alot to choose from.
best thing to do of the evening is get a taxi to los gigantis here theres a bit more selection and taxis are cheap to get there!
must do is visit the natural swimming pool its a right good sun trap and the views are amazing so take your camera! you can walk to this from the hotel takes about 10 mins max! also have a walk down to playa arena theres a few shops here an its a black sand beach, it takes about 15-20 mins to walk down to it, i think you can get the bus too. we also visited siam park! a must for all you thrill seekers. the wave machine will take your breath away.....say no more just go!!! theres the white sand beach there too to chill out on after trying out all those rides!
we stayed all inc here and the drinks were pathetic as an adult you are expected to sit with a small plastic cup and they are small we were fetching 2 from the bar at a time as thats all you can have at one time! so you do tend to find yourself at the bar all nite!
there is evening entertainment but we never attended.
you are up in the moutains at this resort so people with walking difficulities should avoid!
overall a lovely hotel in a quiet pretty location ideal for a chilling out, relaxing and sightseeing!

The hotel was clean and well looked after, but was quite far from Las Ameriacas after Thomas Cook had told us 15 min in a taxi, which was a lie!
Rooms were a good size and very clean.

Buffet style, all inclusive with decent variety, but overall average.

Good for a mid price range/ late deal holiday.
