Found this little gem last week while out exporting the Brittany country side. We had lunch & decided to go back for dinner. It was fantastic Asian style dinner and the best starter I have ever had fresh tasty & friendly . Keep up the good work. We will be back.

Lovely old building in a quiet village less than 30 minutes from St Malo. English owners who have renovated and updated in an old fashioned style that suits the building. Good evening meals and plentiful breakfasts. Enjoyed siting outside in the square talking with the owner and locals over beers.

Room tip: front facing room gives nice view over village square

We first stayed Le Manoir over ten years ago as the owners were setting up business. They have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming place to set and stay over, most recently developing an Asian menu alongside more traditional fare. There's often a lively mix of nationalities and many locals have made it their place of choice to visit. In season, moules frites are a great choice, but there are lots of other goodies too - garlic mushrooms, calamari, and thai curry. The rooms in this old manoir are full of character, accessed by a stunning stone tourelle staircase. Andy and Vanessa are always friendly and welcoming, no matter how busy, and have lots of local knowledge. Nearby chateau at Combourg, golf at Domaine des Ormes or Le Tronchet, shopping and sightseeing in Rennes, Mont St Michel, or even the Normandy Landing Beaches are all within reach. The Foret de Villecartier offers many activities - riding, high ropes, walks, trim trail and play and picnic areas. If you're in the area, this is a great value place to be based.

My husband and i first stayed at la manoir in April for a couple of nights and the room was excellent , clean and comfortable . We ate in the restaurant and the food is excellent , we have been back recently as we have bought a property in the area and had a great meal & relaxing evening in the bar area . The bar & restaurant are frequented by tourists and locals alike so a nice gentle buzzy atmosphere .
Run by a lovely couple who very welcoming and helpful to all , it will certainly be a regular stop for us when we are in the area .

We visited this property in August with two kids. We had a nice family room which comfortably housed four people. The property is an old house which has been renovated and we were very happy for the opportunity to stay a couple of nights in one of these old houses. We went there as part of a trip to Bretagne and Normandy and in particular because we wanted to go to Mont Saint Michel, but didn't want to be too close to the touristy area. Bazouges-La-Perouse is not a touristy place, but rather a small and typical village for this area, which is what we wanted.
Le Manoir is run by two Brits, which does make life easier for those who were not attentive in French lessons in High School. The hosts are very helpful and offered good advice. Le Manoir serves a reasonable breakfast and the restaurant is open in evening for dinner as well. We ate there one evening and were positively surprised.
