Plus points:
- Right next door to Furano skiing slopes
- Excellent choice for skiers & family with kids
- Decorated in the theme of Hokkaido animals & comes with lots of good education info for young kids
- Good bathroom toiletries
- Free beer (limited to 1 glass per pax; only at certain hours in d evening)
- Free snacks (limited hours)
- Public baths/onsen (for guys & gals separately)
- Good spread of Japanese style breakfast along with continental type

Minus points:
- Quite a distance from Furano town centre
- Room is small
- Basic decor
- Bedside lamp not working
- Wooden floor, not carpeted
- Room sound proof is poor

Overall d stay is ok but not as comfy as expected. Definitely overpriced.

This is a great hotel for families. They have a play area for kids, coin-op laundry with included detergent and lots of complementary extras like toiletries and even diapers. There were free drinks (coffee and soda) and snacks on the first floor. There's a game were the kids can look around the hotel for rubber stamps. If you collect all of them you a small toy. The room was good sized for us (2 adults, 3 year old and 1 year old)

The breakfast buffet was mainly Japanese style (miso soup, rice, fish, tamago, etc.) so that is a consideration for westerners. They did have some french toast, cold cereal, and yogurt though.

There's an onsen with indoor and outdoor pools.

We stayed in the summer but but it appeared to be across the street from a large ski lift.

I visited this hotel for second time to enjoy some April skiing. The hotel continues to be great with absolutely fabulous service. Its not like the fake service at big chain but really feels like the care about the guests. I really enjoyed the lobby area with free drinks and snacks. Its a great place to hang around and talk to the other guests. There were also free beer at 9pm although limited to a glass and some late night snacks if you are still hungry. We booked one of the owl rooms, which are great as they have plenty of space. The ski area near the hotel is closed in April but the hotel offers a free bus service to the main ski area. This bus service was one of the key reasons to choosing the hotel as otherwise it would have been hard to go skiing. The food in the hotel is very good and if you have not booked all meals try the steak for Y1500. I found it good value and very tasty.

The perfect base in Furano for a family snow trip, with the gondola just across the road. This hotel has a great mix of western and Japanese features so you actually feel like you are in Japan but also have the usual comforts. It's not a flash hotel but rates so highly because of comfort, convenience and family friendly feel. We've been coming to Japan for a number of years and this hotel is the best snow hotel for families for a long stay we have experienced. Toasting marshmallows on the charcoal pit and enjoying complementary coffee and hot chocolate in the lounge area was very welcoming. The onsen is enjoyable and child friendly. The breakfast buffet is delicious and generous with western choices as well. It's easy to walk around the immediate area to eat out cheaply at local omelette curry houses. Or to bus/taxi into Furano proper for delicious meals at many restaurants. The hotel dining is also tasty with a yummy sweets buffet. The ski locker- drying room is big and very warm. And the laundry is easy to use with big new washer-drier machines. On top of all that the staff were all helpful and friendly. So thank you everyone for making our stay so great
