We could not have asked for a better stay at Las Plumerias. Emeline and Etienne were wonderful hosts - warm and welcoming, and above all, very funny.

We went surfing twice every day at different surf locations and were well taken care of by the 2 surf instructors Paul and Edu. Special shout out to Edu who was extremely patient with me, a clumsy beginner surfer.

The property itself has a nice pool with great ocean views (about 15 min walk to the beach) and accommodation is spread out in single bungalows. They are basic but spacious.

If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, do yoga and lots of surfing you will not be disappointed.

We left the place with great memories and even greater friends.

Las Plumerias surf lodge is located on a quiet section of the Nicaraguan surf coast with great ocean views which allows for a quick swell check. The lodge grounds are quite large and attractive with an horizon pool that is clean and only mildly chlorinated, great for a cooling swim at any time of the day.The rooms are quite spacious, the beds comfortable and all have ensuites and fans. There are board racks in each room and plenty of shelf space.
The lodge menu is quite varied with a distinct lean towards fish and chicken. The food is well cooked with enough for most hungry surfers. The fridge in the dining area is always stocked with fruit drinks, water and beer and guests can help themselves at any time. If you are keen on spirits, chocolates and other treats stock up before you leave Managua.
Surf conditions see consistent swells and offshore winds. The different breaks vary from reef/point breaks to a large variety of beach breaks. Crowds can at some spots be a problem, but the Las Plumerias surf guides will go out of their way to avoid this situation if this is what you want. Both our guides were extremely accommodating in relation to getting the best waves on the day depending on tide and swell conditions and providing a safe environment for beginners.
The major highlight of the Las Plumerias experience is the friendly and helpful environment created by the owners Etienne and Emeline and their wonderful staff.

Had an amazing time at Las Plumerias. The surf guides selected good surf spots for 2 sessions each day; we had a good variety of surf spots to experience. Good food and they easily accommodated a gluten free diet. Bungalows are spacious with a comfortable bed. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We enjoyed waves and warm water every day. I like that the hosts are Eco minded and respect the land and people of Nicararagua.

In short, it was the best ten days of surfing I ever had. There were lots of waves to be had, and at times our small group were the only ones out. I surfed until I could hardly walk every day. Etienne and Emilie we gracious hosts, and tried hard to please everyone. It was nice to mix with different cultures and groups. There seemed to be something to do for families, people dropping in for a day, people with cars, or not, and of course the surfers. Their surf guide Tom, and the cooks were great too!
