Collection of keys at Airport was excellent. Arrived late at night due to x3 buses and a taxi. Had been travelling all day. Picture on website shows a white stepped entrance ... but this is NOT the front of the building .. it is the side. The front overlooks the island for the bus turning and it is through a door here that you enter into the lobby. There is a light-switch to the right if the door. Ahead you will find two lifts that are extremely quiet ( at first i thought they weren’t working). These take you to the third floor. As you step out of the lift, the door to the studio is to the right. There is a light switch to the right of the door. The key needs several turns before the door unlocks ( security feature probably). On entering there is a switch on the wall to the right. As you enter, there is a small cupboard on the left with drawers and hangers. Next to this is a fridge/freezer ( fridge never gets really cold). Further along is a hanging rail for coats with a chair to sit on. To the right is a small but functional bathroom. Shower is compact for people if a larger size but is clean and works fine. The washing machine is situated in the corner here ... i didnt use this so cannot comment. There are nice towels for general use but no beach towels ( which i thought were provided ... but are sadly lacking). Further along is the galley kitchen. Again compact .. but functional.
The lounge area has a sofa, tv, dining table and screen that separates/ screens the double bed. (Bed is comfortable with a small plinth on one side for a lamp.) There is a heater opposite the bed which i did not use. There is a file near the tv with information in several languages .. but i found that it missed some of the information that would have been more useful .... such as the times of the buses; the need to stock up on basics when in Icod town; the number of a local taxi ; the ironing board is hidden down side of freezer;
The WIFI is good and worked very well. TV channels are mainly Spanish as is to be expected. The patio doors.... do not expect the outer doors/blinds to close/lock (cos they don’t). At some point there were 3 doors but now only two and there is no wall/ bar to fix them to. The inner glass doors close fine but if security is an issue for you, beware. (Whoever cleans has not cleaned the glass). The balcony is small but functional for two people, with a table and two chairs. Provision of a mozzie candle was appreciated. The views from the balcony are marvellous , and this is the selling point of this place and the reason i booked it.
Except for the windows the place was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ideal if you hire a car, but not for the faint-hearted on public transport ( which i am a fan of ). I hope this review helps you prepare if you are staying here ... I think its a lovely little place to stay if you want to really get away from it all.
