We kept going back to Grain de Sel for the rose and thai tuna salad. What a setting, and what delicious food! Sitting outside on their beautiful porch, with a plate of hot conch fritters and tomato salad, followed by the freshly seared tuna and refreshing salad, couldn't be a nicer experience. We've been coming for over ten years and never disappointed.

This is our 4th trip on the island and 4th time here. We look forward to lunch at Grain De Sol because it is right outside of our favorite beach in the world! The place is low key and casual. Food is great. This time, they got completely slammed and the staff were was having a rough time keeping up. Each table was looking to them for service. But hey, it’s SBH... hard to be in a hurry. Anyways, I️ recommend going and tasting these unique island favorites.

Lazing around in the sun makes everyone hungry.

Fortunately, Grain de Sel is right off the Anse Saline parking lot, so you don't need to go far for food. There's a great selection for all palates.

The service is attentive and friendly. Seating is outdoors and pleasantly in the shade.

There's no better way to relax and eat after relaxing at the beach on relaxing St. Barths.

**for anyone considering the CONCH dish: I imagined it was a light dish in the style of a ceviche, but it is heavy and stew-like. Of course, I should have realized this as the dish is described as a "fricassee", but when the sun-stroked mind dreams of fresh conch in the style of a ceviche, the mind dreams. Reading is power.

Casual for St. Barts but expensive. The staff is lovely. No need to wear Jewels here. Slightly bohemian. A lot of Americans
And British people. Pleasant atmosphere.
No need to have your hair done. Chic.

Located near Grande Saline, one of St Barth’s most spectacular beaches, Le Grain de Sel is nice, cozy restaurant with some wonderful food. We started with the Codfish fritters – a great combination of potato and fresh fish deep-fried. This is a starter you’ll see all over St. Barth, and more often than not, they may be rather ordinary - not so here, it’s very flavorful. Another appetizer we enjoyed was the local squash stuffed with codfish. This isn’t what you’d expect, it’s more of a spread, and it’s quite delicious.
For my entree I enjoyed the ginger flavored tuna tartar with garlic toasts. This was a wonderful main dish. The rich fresh tuna with the sharp ginger flavoring was a perfect flavor pairing. My partner enjoyed the local fish – grilled mahi mahi with a creole sauce, a zesty flavored sauce over perfectly cooked fish.
With its outdoor seating, friendly service and fair prices (remember it’s St. Barth, nothing is inexpensive), Le Grain de Sel, situated near a small salt pond, and a magnificent beach, shouldn’t be missed.
