I was fortunate enough to be able to pop out to the South of France for a long weekend and stayed at Auberge Le Chardon again.
The hotel has been improved since my last visit with some new windows and some of the rooms now have en-suite toilets, as well as the showers and hand-basins that were there last time I stayed.
Gus and Caroline haven't changed - they are still as welcoming and laid-back as ever.
This isn't a 5-star luxury hotel and it doesn't pretend to be. It's location in the beautiful village of Vagnas, well away from the noisier tourist area of Vallon Pont d'Arc, give it a fantastic charm and I can't recommend it highly enoughMore
