So what happens when you mix an experienced high end restauranteur, a internationally acclaimed chef with Peter Mantle at Delphi Bahamas.
Something close to a paradise in the sun. We had been to Delphi Lodge in Connemara so were aware of the great fishing experience Peter and Jane were capable of creating; the same fishing club formula has transferred and evolved into a wholly different and unique pleasure.
Max Woolnough is general manager, but contributes so much more to the experience, over and above running and organising the place, his friendship is something we will both miss when we tear ourselves away.
Jason Prangnell is the award winning chef who delighted us with the various foods. Both local and echoes of home cooking, what he created was like having edible works of art. Gorgeous.
But we had actually come to go bonefish fishing. Nothing can prepare you for the electric shock of excitement when you hook your first fish. I have fished for many years and in some beautiful places. But this was something else. Standing above, or wading ankle deep in, liquid sapphire warm sea water, stalking your prey. My burnt finger regretting not wearing a stripping glove to protect it from the line screaming down to the backing. No nothing comes close, save, maybe accidentally catching a BMW motorbike with you back cast! Incredible. “ Just remember to breath” is a common piece of advice from the guides, what an exciting sport in a beautiful place.
Thank you Peter and Jane, Max and Jason for a wonderful time.
Looking forward to coming back.

A wonderful base for a bone fishing holiday. A beautiful lodge looking out on the ocean. Caught some great bone fish, which was certainly more to do with the terrific guides than my casting. The chef produced wonderful 4 course dinners each night.

Our first visit to the Delphi Club was superb. Wonderful lodge with gracious hosts, Peter and Max who keep the whole operation running like a finely tuned watch. The bonefishing was excellent with experienced guides who got us into fish each day.

The food was fabulous and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

All around, a great trip to a lovely lodge that was great for the wives as well as the fishermen.

Room Tip: rooms are gorgeous with wood floors, patios open to ocean and excellent beds

Absolutely stunning location, stunning hotel ,fantastic staff and the best bone fishing on Abaco and also the very very best guides, they work non stop all day for you .
Peter and Max make the place happen and work non stop to ensure your stay is perfection as do there staff ! Faultless
This is a 6/7star resort with a fantastically relaxed atmosphere.
It's a must for bone fishers looking for luxury and elegance off the water and great times on the water .

Room Tip: 6 rooms downstairs and 2 upstairs all to the same level of luxury

We spent a week at The Delphi. The welcome from the owner and manager is very warm. All the service is excellent. The evenings are like a house party. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The food is interesting with lots of local fish and interesting cooking. The bonefishing opportunities are excellent with really good guides. The views from the lodge are breathtaking. The secluded, expensive beach is great for walks. If you haven't had enough fishing on the flats you can fish here too. One of the best holidays we have ever had. Can't recommend too highly.
