Thank you so much for making our stay so special! The best team! The resort wasn't fully booked and we requested a room change to the room next door since it had a nicer view. We found out that it was a higher room category, not only because the view was stunning but also because of the seize and the fact that the bathroom had a jacuzzi. However, we received the upgrade free of charge! Also on our day of departure we were granted a complimentary late check ut since we wanted to stay as long a spossible in this beautiful place.

It was so quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed. As said, the location is awesome, the food in the restaurant was very good too and overall it's a nice, small island. Thank you so much again for this great vacation.

The resort is right off the beach and is in a quite location. We only spent one day and one night here but wish we had more. The resort is rustic and full of greenery.
They have a very well maintained pool and have massages available in your room at very reasonable prices.
There is only one bar and Cafe in the resort that closes at 7pm. The early closing time is the only downside, the food is good there.
Rooms are clean and we're just as shown in the pictures. The wooden decor adds to the whole feel.
They have bicycle and boasts for kayaking available for free.
The beach is not one where you would snorkel. Kayaking is perhaps the best option there. Swimming in the beach probably isn't an option either, we found the beach not that clean as other parts of Yao Yai.

We were pleased to check in to Baan Taranya after staying in Patong too long.

We were welcomed by friendly staff and taken to our room which had breathtaking views.

The room was a bit rustic but had a huge bed and spa bath and did I mention the view!?

The food at the resort was great, best of our stay in Thailand. They had amazing local dishes and were happy to make them vegetarian. The resort also has alcohol which is a bit scarce on Yao Yai.

We rented a scooter from the resort for a reasonable price, which is a must to explore the island.

We took advantage of the complementary canoe and found some great spots on the beach. A warning though, the beach is extremely tidal and the water is hot!

The resort organized a private longboat tour for a great price which was a highlight.

We would definitely stay here again and hope to do so soon.

The place is located next to a pier used by fishermen, and the beach is very quiet (not for swimming though). My 3 years old son loved the swimming pool, as it has a small confined area for kids (a "cage") where he could play safely. As the area fortunately is not very developed in terms of buildings, there are lots of plants and insects, and the rooms are not exactly isolated from the outside world, so you need to take precautions against mosquitoes and other insects that might fly in, and ants have already colonized the whole place :). Also the rooms are not very well cleaned, we found sand and a book from the previous occupant. Food is poor, but there is a very nice family-run restaurant just up the hill on the junction with the main road. Staff is helpful although it lacks a bit of communication. Overall is a nice place, and good value for money, although it lacks a bit in cleanliness and could protect the rooms better from outside elements.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful ambience all around. Excellent seafood at the hotel's restaurant.

The neighbourhood of the hotel is very peaceful and pleasant with a boat pier plus a nice uncrowded beach where the locals gather in the late afternoon.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a sea view, but this may cost more.
