This hotel is a restored farmhouse and has been lovingly and imaginatively put together with great style.

Our bedroom is more than comfortable with a rest shower and every room, staircase, sitting areas, dining room and courtyard feature unusual decorative artefacts from the juke box and suits of armour to the photo of Stalin and the lovely green Mohawk bedecked parrot sculpture.

Breakfast is excellent, staff are friendly and La Posada is a lovely relaxed place to stay in a great laid back town.

As a couple in a touring party we stayed at this wonderful atmospheric hotel. The hotel takes you back to the colonial days and has the décor and style of this period. We had a lovely upstairs room which even had a pot belly wood stove. We ate in the restaurant in the evenings and the food was simply excellent. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the main cobbled square and other bars.
The staff were welcoming and very friendly. We loved it here and I would highly recommend to anyone that the stay her when in Villa de Leyva.

We loved our 4 day stay and could have stayed longer.
This place is central, has loads of charm, great breakfasts and terrific service.
Our mini suite looked over the inner courtyard so a bit noisy daytime but quiet at night. There were armchairs outside to sit and admire the hill views.
We ended up having dinner at the hotel all nights because it was so good. Solid Spanish based home cooking as opposed to the rather iffy Colombian fare in outside restaurants.
Most of the staff speak no English but you get used to that in Colombia.
We spent mornings hiking the surrounding hills, swimming at the spring pool at the Mulino de Mesopotamia in the afternoon, and shopping in the many boutiques other times.
VDL has the world’s best climate and no bugs (2100m elevation) - as close to paradise as you can get.

The hotel is located in the corner of the Plaza de Nariño square in front of a beautiful park and close to the Plaza Mayor, the main square of Villa de Leyva. Also is close to nice restaurants and different activities.
From the beginning our experience was great, the receptionists at the front desk always were friendly, very helpful and with a smile.
The facilities of the hotel are beautiful with a historical eclectic decoration, beautiful gardens and dining room.
Rooms are comfortable, with a nice bed, clean, good furniture and with all the amenities.
We enjoyed everyday our breakfast that was included, it was delicious and with different options including the wonderful typical food.
Definitely I will come back with my family and friends.

Large home converted to a charming B and B. Various levels, with that were large and spacious. Some rooms had small sitting areas.
Throughout the hotel you find a variety of sitting areas where you can just relax and spend your time going back into history.
The hotel is located on one of plazas, so it's convenient to restaurants and cafes, as well as shops.
