This place was the top-listed restaurant in our Lonely Planet guide (which was, truthfully, quite outdated). We went there our first morning in Harar, expecting to find a light, airy restaurant with yummy ice cream and pastries. Nope. It was dark and crowded and full of local men. Since we were two females traveling alone, and my friend had already had several uncomfortable encounters with men pulling her hair on the walk from the hotel, we quickly ordered two macchiatos and bolted. The ice cream may be good, but we never went back. Just know what you're getting yourself into!
