My wife and I had 4 days with chef claudio at the Torre Guelfa, which entailed 3 hours of cooking each morning followed by lunch and dinner (only 2 nights for dinner). We stayed off site and were picked up each day from the Casa Grande hotel in Figline (by Chef Claudio) each day and were also dropped back.
The food cooked was so simple, yet amazingly tasty ! Chef Claudio is great fun, and feeds off your energy and love of his food - which is plentiful. From making fresh pasta, bolognese sauce, lasagne, the most amazing pesto sauce, ricotta gelato, biscotti, tiramisu, and some pretty crazy deep fried dishes this was quite possibly some of the best italian food we have eaten.
We highly recommend you do this if heading to Tuscany, and are a lover of simple rustic italian food - just dont forget your appetite and be prepared to eat and drink because as Claudio says - WHY NOT!.
