We stayed here for 5 nights. What a place! Full of character. It has its own museum with a tour given by Gabirella which was very interesting followed by a wine tasting of some of the wine produced by the hotel's owners. Really lovely Chianti wines that can be purchased in the hotel for a little as 5 Euros a bottle. if you want to push the boat out and go for an excellent reserve then that will cost you 8 Euros. Hard to beat that. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Jonas and Damione. Rooms were excellent - ours had its own wee veranda - and cleaning services great. Breakfast was fine.

We will definitely be back. Totally loved the place.

Room tip: ask for Garden View

We've just returned from spending 6 wonderful nights at Hotel Villa Casagrande. We found the hotel conveniently located for touring of the Tuscany area. Our standard room was conveniently located near the lobby. It was extremely quiet and overlooked the Italian Garden. The shower was a little small, but the room itself was very comfortable. Excellent WiFi. The front desk personnel were extremely helpful. The breakfasts were in a lovely garden setting and the buffet was quite ample. Parking was available at the hotel during most of our stay. There was a paid parking lot and a free parking lot located across the street.
The Wine Tasting and Pizza Cooking Class were well done and enjoyable. Many good restaurants are located near the hotel.

We stayed at Villa Casagrande for 3 nights in August 2018. It is located in a small town that is strategically placed if you wish to visit Florence to the North or the Chianti region to the South-West.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the staff was pleasant, the room was clean and the quality and variety of the food for breakfast was excellent and offered in the beautiful courtyard setting (make sure to include the breakfast as part of your booking).

4 stars instead of 5 simply because of the size of the bathroom and its lack of ventilation as well as a clogged drain.

Expect additional charges if you wish to use the outdoor pool which is across the street, ie. 5 Euros per person (no charge for the indoor pool) and make sure to stock up on water as no complimentary bottles are offered.

Good value for money and would tend to recommend!

Amazing building from 14th century with great history, which they tell you during the wine tasting activity. It is close to the trainstation to firenze/roma and @ chianti wine road. Food is great and staff extreamly friendly. You can use 2 pools and there is also a wellnes area

Breakfast was taken outside in beautiful courtyard. Figline valdarno is a pleasant town with good restaurants and connection to Florence by train.( Two stops on fast train) wine tasting experience was well worth the money as it included tour of 13th century part of the hotel complex. Good for a few nights touring the Florence area. Lovely swimming pool complex over the road although surprised to pay extra for sunbeds and umberellas. Difficult place to leave behind as it was perfect for four middle age travellers
