“Spectacular views in a peaceful location.”
Reviewed November 20, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We have recently returned from a trip to Italy which included a stay at the fabulous Gaia House. The house itself is stunning and basically had everything we wanted from a holiday let in Southern Tuscany. We wanted a property that was priviate, clean and comfortable, and located in the countryside. We got all this and more. The house was very well equipped, spacious and modern, and the views from the bedroom windows were to die for. The gardens were pleasant and private (the property being gated) and again offered fantastic views. I felt very much at home there and was quite sad to leave. The only slightly negative comment I will make is that access to the property is down a rather bumpy, gravelled track. Our hire car coped with this reasonably well but it is worth noting that a car with low suspension would have problems. We particularly enjoyed our trips to the Maremma Natural Park (where we encountered wild boar), the walled city of Pitigliano, and the thermal springs of Saturnia. Franco, the owner, speaks very good English which is always good to know when booking a holiday let in a country where you don't speak the language.
