The mist descended gently leaving its cloud cloak above to cover the Pachamama below, moving through the trees and hills of the Andean highlands where grass-feed cattle roamed freely in fertile lands
Here, Abuelita Agua brought with Her an abundance of Health and Well-being while we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves inside a fantastic place called Termas Papallacta
The rain came from high above – from its origin in the clouds – precipitating towards the Earth and diving into the volcanic cauldron of the Chacana, which means “ladder” or “bridge-like object” in quechua
These waters traveled and navigated through subterranean layers until they broke through the earth – hot springs from the highlands – bringing with them minerals, elements and properties that were ideal for a full body rehabilitation, regeneration, rejuvenation and relaxation
In the afternoon, we walked through the garden and explored the secret trails cutting through the mountains. Upon returning, we enjoyed a cup of coffee with a dessert that was the ideal touch to end the day
The experience at Termas Papallacta was complete. We enjoyed the spa with first-class service, the accommodation with comfortable and spacious rooms, the hot springs pools with 24-hour access and a private restaurant with a buffet-style service
