Fairly basic family apartment which seemed expensive for the money. Kids beds were just either side of the front door. Poor quality crockery, glassware etc. Welcome pack was very tatty plastic folder which looked about 10 years old.

We had 3 lights not working. Man eventually came to fix but entered apartment without knocking and was very unfriendly.

We still had a great time in Annecy as it is a beautiful spot with a great lakeside beach a short drive and family bike trail. The apartments are near a busy road but just about everywhere was so this wasn't a big problem for us and didn't disturb us.

My wife and I got to town late and booked a room here through Expedia. Unfortunately Expedia incorrectly booked the room, and when we arrived this lovely little hotel was full. Even though it was not in any way the hotel's fault, the staff were absolutely amazing. The owner called around and found us a room at a nearby hotel (which was significantly more expensive) and put the charges on her own personal credit card to ensure we wouldn't have to pay anything, saying she would fight with Expedia for us and that we should simply enjoy our holiday. It was one of the most kind and generous gestures I've ever experienced, and we were so grateful.
They treat their guests like family and genuinely care about ensuring they enjoy themselves.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, perched between a tree-covered mountain and the beautiful lake.
I honestly cannot recommend the Hotel Residel highly enough.

Although Annecy is a very pretty and lovely town, it has a huge parking problem. To avoid this, we choose to stay a few minutes outside of town in near Sevrier. The Hotel has plenty of parking space, the rooms are comfy, the breakfast is ok. Rooms facing the street and the lake, the street passes just in front of the hotel. Windows are soundproof. Just opposite the hotel across the street is a lovely winebar with livemusic on weekends. Beside this, there's nothing special in walking distance. Will stay there as a hub for Annecy.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor have a view across the street towards the lake.

Service was excellent. The owners were very friendly and was a pleasure to meet such nice people. Also great for non French speaking travelers as they also can speak English quite well. Rooms were refreshing, neat and clean. While the room did not have the glamour of a 4 star hotel, it was not necessary as the reason you're in annecy is to enjoy the beautiful lake and old village. Hotel is in a great location, about 10 min away from the old village, walking distance to a beach, and a small supermarket right next door. We were very pleased with our stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

This so called aparthotel has small unpleasant rooms that smell - also disagreable management. Very limited parking & right next to a main road & Lidl supermarket. I would advise anyone to pass this place by. Also Sevrier is not the nicest town along this side of Lake Annecy.

Room Tip: Basically don't stay there if you want a nice time.
