We had a wonderful stay at this place. Mr S Das was very helpful with the stay, and also helped us get a good deal for Ayurveda massages, and a speed boat ride.
Place a decent facility for badminton, basketball and table tennis, where kids could spend time with.
Definitely value for money and a great lakeside view.

We were a group of 9 people and had booked 4 lakeside cottages. We checked in the hotel at around 12 midnight - so I wasn't expecting a red carpet welcome. However, I wasn't expecting a super cold welcome either. There were two men at the reception, none of whom tried to guide us to our rooms, until asked repeatedly.
They demanded upfront payment, strictly in cash. When refused, they relented to take the payment the next morning, at checkout.
I'd heard so much about their food, but honestly, didn't find it worth the hype or the extravagant rates.

The "premium" lakeside cottages are honestly cubicle sized; and have a horrible quality and taste in furnishing and lighting. The design of having a huge porch in front of every cottage definitely makes it look good from outside, but sadly that's where "good looks" end.

The next morning, the reception lady rudely asks us to check out; and doesn't provide a proper invoice until repeated asked - more than 5 times.

That said, I'll give it points for the view and in house goose and rabbit farms. The owners are really sweet people too, but they should realize what happens behind their backs; and be aware of the competition by surrounding resorts.

Oh, and before I forget, even inquiring about WiFi would have you charged for usage. ;)

Some body suggested and we checked in like fools. Cold welcome by a lady staff. Payment demanded in advance but the card reader(POS) is not functional. After a wait of 20 minutes, they agreed to take payment when the swipe works.
Checked in about 1 pm 0n 04 May 2017.Floored to find linen of the worst quality and color in the cottage.Cubicle sized rooms and poorly appointed baths.tastelessly kept rooms
Ordered for lunch at 1.15 pm and was served at 2.50 pm in a dining which was comparable to a village panchayath shed.Tasteless sambar, something claimed to be moru curry, halfdone vegetables with brown rice.Fish was very poorly done and just with a lot of spice.Enough is enough, having paid a days tariff,we checked out at 6 pm same day, having spent less than 5 hours.
About etiquette and cordiality of the staff, the lesser said the better, they dont know what it means.
JUST DO NOT STEP IN HERE IF YOU CARE TO HAVE AN ENJOYABLE STAY.

Room Tip: Cottages OverLooking The Lake-But never plan to stay in this resort

a great place to relax. nice place for kids with the swans, rabbits, vegetable farm, etc & with sport like table tennis lounge, badminton etc available. Food is average. USP - you get the same view and ambience of the other 7 odd high end resorts but at 1/5th the cost.

The hosts, Adv.Koshy& Susan are very warm, friendly and are sincere. They are looking to serve rather than get a market share.

Room Tip: room with a view of the lake is the best option

Resort is actually located on the lake side and offers mesmerising views of lake/Sunset/Running house boats/Fishermen.
You can take a ride by requesting to fisherman as the resort offers a gate with opens directly into the lake.
Food is simple and delicious and rooms are good.
Resort is a habitat for Ducks/ Rabbits and Plants and trees.
Staff is very nice and helping.
You can hire auto-rickshaw/ taxi to reach there.
Main railway station or bus stand to Kumarakom is Kottayam.
Distance from Kottayam Bus stand is around 10 KM and Kottayam railway station is 12 KM.
