Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Nestled within Discovery Harbour on Georgian Bay, the King's Wharf Theatre is a pleasantly rustic, 385-seat venue that offers all the comforts of a modern facility. Flanked by the historic buildings of a 19th-century British naval and military base, the theatre is located at the end of a beautiful boardwalk that looks on to the homeport of replica ships H.M.S. Bee and H.M.S. Tecumseth. A visit to the King's Wharf Theatre takes only 45 minutes from Barrie and Orillia, or just over an hour from Collingwood. While in the area, explore the communities of Penetanguishene and Midland, which offer unique shops and dining establishments. You'll also want to discover such treasures as Ontario's first European Community at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

We had an amazing night watching a fantastic version of Momma Mia. The setting for the theatre is picturesque. The talent in the show was amazing. I would highly recommend attending a performance at this theatre.

Drayton Entertainment once again did not disappoint. For 3 summers now we have experienced outstanding theatre. Today Mamma Mia was over the top. We were in the front row. The emotions, the talent of these young people, was incredible. Jade as Lisa brought the young girl to life and nailed the part. From joy to actual tears and full emotion Jade has a big future ahead of her. She felt the part , she made the audience believe her. Outstanding performance.. Now to Jenni Burke as Rosie. You had us cheering for you.You made us a part of your fun character. You had us standing up and screaming for more. I can't mention you all. All I can say is thank you , thank you for giving me an afternoon of fantastic entertainment. Drayton keep these excellent entertainers as long as you can!

Just went to see Mama Mia put on by Drayton Entertainment. Play was well done . Dancing and singing were great. I saw the play in Toronto and this production was great, and this one is just as good. Would recommend people to go and see.

Went to the show at King's Wharf Theatre last night. Frankly, being a small town venue I did not have big expectations. Boy, was I mistaken! This was our first Drayton production and it won't be our last. The show was unbelievably fantastic - the singing was as good as any musical I've seen in Toronto and New York, especially the leads. Congratulations to the entire ensemble. Blythe Wilson managed to get the audience toe-tapping, clapping and up on their feet singing and dancing along as well Meryl Streep would have. Bravo! We'll see it again this summer, I'm sure!

Won tickets to Aladdin from 104.1 the Dock! We were thrilled, even though it's not usually my thing to see a play, but the King Wharf was just great and the performance was so personal and well put together. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! And the scenery is simply beautiful. Thanks 104.1 for a great night out
