As we expected. Music was a treat and we thoroughly enjoyed the band. Food is standard pub fare ..edible but not too much more ..good sweet potato fries!

So many people say to go here, but nobody tells you to get your tickets before driving out this way. We were disappointed to find that the show was sold out. When we asked if we could just sit for a drink before the show actually started, they said no because it was rehearsal. Too bad because the band sounded great.

We were attending a concert here but arrived early. We had a late lunch in the little restaurant. The menu leans heavily on BBQ. My companion had the burger with sweet potato fries and I had the pulled pork sandwich. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pulled pork was. They use an actual smoker and the sandwich meat had bits of the bark you would expect to find in a good pulled pork sandwich. The bun however was not that good at all. However this did not detract from the quality of the pork or the fries served on the side. The fries are excellent. Thin cut from whole potatoes, these were served hot and crispy. My friend's burger was good and her sweet potato fries were also excellent. These are also cut in the restaurant and served thin and crispy. My meal and a pint of good stout made for an unexpected bonus ahead of our concert. Will definitely go back and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Wakefield.
