We have dined here on several Sundays and are never disappointed. The food is expertly prepared with a great choice of foods. We had the salad with the cod and the shrimp linguine and the quiche. All were expertly prepared and delicious. And how much better can it get than sitting on the patio watching the Gatineu River!

My wife and I had the scallop hors d'oeuvres and the lamb. Both were excellent. The Pot au Feu is located in a former railway station with a lovely view of the Gatineau river and the surrounding hills. We sat outside overlooking the river and loved the atmosphere, even though it was starting to get a bit cool by the time we finished eating. Lots of free parking. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is in a converted railway station. having kept much of the decor adds to the atmosphere. As it was a lovely day we ate on the verandah, next to the rail tracks overlooking a grassed area. the food was good, though there was no vegetarian options I chose the waffles omitting the cream. Other had fish or meat which was well received. The service was done by local youngsters who did a good job. A good time was had by all.

We enjoyed our meals here, portions are not overly generous. The food is very good tasting. The views are absolutely incredible. The out door seating is beautiful for any meal, rain or shine. The location is central in the town and you can walk through town from the restaurant. Parking is available, no reservations needed

If you happen to find yourself in the Ottawa region (Canada's capital) and want to get out of town for lunch or dinner the town of Wakefield in Quebec is only 25 minute drive away. There are a number of good spots to eat. Among them the Pot au Feu, housed in a former railway station with a lovely view of the Gatineau river and the surrounding hills. The food is very good and the prices quite reasonable. Service is always good. A very pleasant spot for weekend lunch.
