I can't argue with the previous reviewers. R House is a converted turn of the century schoolhouse saved from ruin and lovingly restored. Essentially like having your own high-end home rather than a room in a B&B. Pricing was extremely reasonable for the North. A ray of sunshine anywhere, but especially in the land of dreary motels not renovated in the last 40 years. A+

My business partner and I shared the main floor (2 rooms) 1 with an ensuite bath as well. The kitchen was top of the line with great appliances, and all fully stocked with dishes, cookware etc. Each room has its own kuerig coffee machine and a little snack basket.

The space is beautifully done with high ceilings as well as a real wood-burning stove. It was so perfect on those cold nights. It has spacious common areas so it was easy to work collaboratively in the evenings. Great host. I can't recommend this place enough.

Room Tip: Both rooms we had were very very nice.

We stayed in the suite in the basement. 2 bedrooms with excellent Queen size beds, a fine kitchen and a lovely living room - sofa, large TV, tons of channels. Kitchen was stocked with an abundance of food. And after coming back from a 10 day canoe trip on a holiday Monday, 12 beer in the fridge ! An extremely thoughtful touch. Clearly Ruth had already been on one of the canoe trips!
Best B and B I have ever stayed in !
