My father, my brother and me stayed at the Kokwet GuestHouse for about a week and it was such a great experience. The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and everything is well taken care of (towels, bedding, house is cleaned daily, hot water, laundry service, a fridge full of local cultivated delicacies etc).
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is also taken care of so wonderfully by Phillys - you can taste the food is made with love:) we enjoyed every meal!
The terrain of the Baraka Farm are your surroundings when staying at the Kokwet guesthouse and Jos was glad to show us around this farm, the childrens home and the school.
It's also possible to make day trips that are within the area (for instance the Kakamega forest or Kerio Valley). Jos & others helped us so much with planning our trips (even with our plans of further exploring Kenya)!
In short, when you stay at the Kokwet Guesthouse you'll be assured to experience Kenya in a very special way. It was more than wonderful and very impressive to see how much hard work and effort was (and is still being) put into the home, farm and school. How warm and friendly these people are.. An unforgettable experience. Big thanks to Jos and Phillys, you've made us feel more than welcome!More
