Very nice country horse farm, our daughter loved the horse ride and Joao was very helping and nice. The cats, dogs, duck, chickens makes it even more authentic. Have a beer in the outside bar after the horse or bike ride and enjoy some small chat with the hosts. Simply assume for a family trip.More
We stayed at Quinta da Alegria in November 2012 and November 2013 and had an amazing time there. We booked the Apartment which is beautifully decorated, the bedroom in the mezzanine is incredible, its like staying in a fairy tale apartment. It is the best place for a romantic retreat. The surrounding grounds are great for walking, you always have two or three lovely friendly dogs following you around. It is the best place for animal lovers. There are stables on the property and I went horse riding, which I love, but even if you do not ride, just simply watching the horses is extremely soothing and relaxing. Liesje and João are great hosts and really nice and welcoming. It is definitely worth the visit.
We felt at home immediately here, the little house allegria was wonderful, the view from the balcony stunning. Liesje and joa we're there for us but left us our privacy. We rode horses, enjoyed the pool and a beer in the little bar, chatting to the other guests. IN the surroundings you can go for wonderful walks and there's several places to swim. Midoes has two little restaurants, we enjoyed one of them: fresh food, for a very small price. This is a place I would definitely come back to to take horse riding lessons. Highly recommended for families

We was here in June 2012, stay in Wibble apartment (look at photo with outdoor pool in front). Family with 3 kids. Initially we planned to spend here just few days, but at last day we cancelled other bookings and stay till end of a holiday. Next time we specially planned visit right here and got one of best family vacation at farm during last years.
We recommend this place for lovers of nature, in silence and solitude. Fans of leisurely riding and rural life here is also very cozy.

We love this place. Nature, horses, lovely people. Perfect location to go for a walk and horseriding or just relaxing by this wonderful house very much space in the house and lovely decoration. You can order fresh fruit, eggs and drinks. We went wirh 2 kids, age 11 and 13. There are for example possibilities to go mountainbiking and take horsemanshipcourses. Amazing how they work with the horses, i cannot imagine a more natural way. There is a private swimingpool and you can go to the beach. Just 1 hour drive to a nice beaches.

Our family stayed at Quinta Da Alegria in a beautiful cosy apartment. The house is really lovely and very comfortable. We enjoyed the big glass window and glass door so we never lost touch with the the magic outdoors. Amazing to watch the horses happy and free. Liesje and Jao are wonderful, beautiful people with an open heart ! Midoes is a very welcoming and peaceful village, everyone you pass is so friendly. It's definitely a place to come back to, to relax and rebirth...Our kids loved the outdoors, enough place to play and be a kid.Thank you Liesje and Jao !
