    They built a paradise within a paradise. This is my perfect place. Hands down, this is the most beautiful island I have ever visited--the tropical paradise of imagination that somehow incredibly manages to leave the islands of the Maldives, Seychelles, Fiji, and Caribbean in the dust. Small islets with swaying palm trees surrounded by crystal clear warm turquoise waters dotted with sandbars and corals--a picture postcard indeed. Although the environs alone would qualify the Brando for five stars, they have built a thing of beauty within this slice of heaven. Everything is done to a very high standard. The French influence is obvious. We felt like we had the place to ourselves and ourselves alone; perhaps it was the time we visited, perhaps it is orchestrated to feel this way. Certainly the absurdly well designed and executed villas contribute to that feeling; however, even beyond these, we were shocked at how much space we had to ourselves. The service was on point. We loved the massages, beach cruisers, kayaks, SUP, snorkeling, and diving. The food and drink were excellent; our vegan diets was easily accommodated. In summary, simply the best and something that must be experienced. Go!

    One of the highest stars in our family traveling collection.

    + new, high-equipped villa with a lot of space, comfortable bed, outside bath and private pool;
    + the hotel provides everything for babies (nappies, cosmetits, toys, food) and for you - just relax;
    + great long beaches, pure nature, island like a real paradise, one of the best I have ever seen;
    + great spa and professional massage;
    + comfortable gym with cosy view and atmosphere;
    + very friendly staff;
    + food was from average to mostly good;
    + high privacy of each villa; the best place to swim is at the corner on the island close to the main restaurant, would recommend snorkeling there.

    - high price but I suppose the quality is corresponding;
    - I would prefer to have my own butler while staying there as sometimes it was not comfortable to tell the same thing to different people;
    - flies at the breakfast were annoyed;
    - romantic dinner at the villa was not something special as it was in Maldives - it doesn’t cost its money.

    The hotel is great. Would highly recommend to stay there. We love to stay at Mermaid bay close to the main restaurant, where the sand is a little softer.

    Dear Daria,
    Thank you very much for your comment, we are glad to read that you have had "the best experience" with us at The Brando.
    We are delighted that you enjoyed the resort and our facilities. Of course we are always listening attentively the constructive feedbacks of our valued guests.

    Having a butler is part of our development and we are already working on this project. It will be officially announced when ready.
    The flies issue is indeed important, each time we have rains followed by heavy sun. As you have noticed, we do not have any mosquito in the island, following a huge work from our scientists. They are presently on the “flie problem” and we hope that they will find the good solution shortly.
    We would like to express our apologies that the Romantic dinner was not "magical" enough, we will improve our offer in order to attain your expectations and we hope we will have the opportunity to organize it for you during your next stay.

    Once again, thank you for visiting us, we look forward to warmly welcoming you back to our resort soon. Best regards. MP

    The Brando experience is one you will never forget; this all-inclusive resort has it all, in fact there is so much for guests to enjoy that my one recommendation would be to do your research and read the guide of available activities and amenities to take advantage of them all while you are there.

    While fine dining, massages, and fully stocked snack/drink cabinets are to be expected at a 5-star place like this, there is also a wealth of terrific activities to enjoy with top-of-the-line equipment and staff. We did the bird tour at the remote island/bird sanctuary, the ultimate lagoon tour, and a scuba diving half day, all private on a shaded boat and great staff. This was just a fraction of the activities you could choose to do; we missed doing the turtle nesting in the evening and taking the sustainability tour where you learn about the resort's great solar and nautical resources. From air-conditioning to fresh water and even their mosquito-eradication program, it's all fascinating and sustainable and worthy of notice and admiration.

    The food is unparalleled. Les Mutines by Guy Martin is fine dining complete with its own wine cellar, while the slightly more casual beachside "Beachcomber" restaurant serves up a terrific menu of local fish dishes (the poisson cru, of course, is incredible).

    The villas are private and have their own dipping pool at a perfect temperature. You rarely, if ever, see anyone walk by the beach in front of you...so if you prefer isolation you can just stay at the villa and your meals will even be brought to you.

    The staff is wonderful and usually imported from Paris and Tahiti. Noteworthy were Adrien who worked the restaurants and had sommelier-level knowledge of the wines contained at the resort's prized cellar inside Les Mutines. He spent lots of time educating us on the wines and other food-related questions we had, as well as more general questions about the resort and its history. Matairea and David were also some of the local employees who made an impression, while the Ultimate Lagoon tour would not have been the same without Gnahina's wealth of knowledge and Corentin's friendly demeanor. Everyone makes you feel welcome and special.

    One piece of advice: when arriving to the island, they take you directly to your villa. CHOOSE TO BRING YOUR LUGGAGE WITH YOU. Otherwise it may take 45 minutes to get it; and when you walk into your villa you will want your camera, your swimsuit, your ability to unpack...it's better if you hold onto your necessary luggage so you can enjoy the villa as soon as you get there!

    We will definitely come back, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that simply begs another go!

    Dear Akostich,
    Thank you so much for your amazing feedback about your recent stay at The Brando, we are glad to know that you have had a wonderful experience with us.

    Indeed, you are perfectly right, there is a lot of daily activities to be done at The Brando, sports to be practice, places to be discovered, scientists to meet and of course some time to spend relaxing at the beach on in the hot water of the lagoon... The Brando team is ready to make you discover, taste, try, search a new adventure each time, be ready for another "once in a life time" holidays.

    We are sorry about the late luggage delivery on your arrival, I remember that the plane was quite full this particular day, usually it does not take more than 15n minutes... Be assured that your luggage will have an "express" delivery next time!

    We are looking forward the pleasure to welcome you back soon. Best regards. MP

    This resort is definitely worth my long hour flight. The service here is very nice, the island itself is beautiful, the room is spacious and clean. The private plane ride to the island is enjoyable, plus the airport lounge is very nice. What I love the most is the privacy on this island.
    The private lagoon tour is amazing, thanks to my guide and captain!
    However, the only downside about this place is the food, the breakfast is good, but dinner is very average.
    Overall, I highly recommend this resort and their available activities.
