Booked this house ,because it was only 20 mns from Skegness ,and a chance to have my family all togeather to see our granddaughter dance at the embassy ,the area is lovely with great views from the bk of the house ,very quite peaceful with a patio area ,which we made good use of for barbecues could have done with 2 more dining chairs on patio as only 6 but not a prob ,on entering the main house it blows you away ,very modern with some quirky features, upstairs mainly for cooking and dining ,downstairs for relaxing at night round the log fire if I was being picky enough comfort seating for 6 ,but two teens got bit fed up with large cushions on floor ,and retreated up stairs ,but they are tall lads ,for there age ,the utility room has washer dryer and bigger fridge freezer ,which comes in very handy ,,the itenery does not say it has a microwave but it does have one ,loved the little pad across from house which sleeps 2 with toilet and sink ,last thing be careful when going on to balcony to look at view the 3 rd decking tile out has small drop to nxt level ,you are so busy looking out you don't realise there is one ,this takes nothing away from the wonderful, stay we had it's just to help other people who might be staying ,make sure you take enough provisions we did ,as no local shop ,we looked to come bk for new year but no vacancies and I'm not surprised we loved it ,
I booked Raithby Hill Reservoir Eco Lodge to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday, and was not disappointed! The house is a beautiful conversion from an old disused reservoir which used to supply the local area. Annie has provided a very easy to manage access system which gives you the freedom to arrive and depart at a leisurely pace, not having to stick to a strict time to meet somebody there.
When you enter the house, the first reaction is "Wow!", lovely open plan 1st floor, with bags of space for seating, dining, and socializing. Going downstairs to the ground floor, you enter into an inviting living area with a beautiful log-burner, with fuel provided to make yourself at home. The bedrooms are all of a good size with very comfortable beds, and spacious luxurious bathrooms too.
My mother will certainly be looking to book the Eco Lodge in the future, and I'm sure my wife and I will revisit again soon.
The house was great - it's beautiful. Myself and some girls went for a little birthday weekend and thought it was amazing. Annie was really helpful - we had a problem working the heating and she rang straight away to explain it to me. Annie text each day to make sure we were okay which made us all at ease.
We're already looking to go back later this year :)
Lovely little place - fab pub just down the road too.
Stayed at the resvoir at Raithsby with a group of friends. Was blown away by the house, Annie has furnished and decorated it to the highest standard, it really was a 5* luxury break. Situated in the lincolnshire countryside but walking distance to a couple of pubs. Certainly ticked all boxes for a relaxing weekend away. We will be back for another visit soon.
I booked the house with a group of old university friends for a weekend reunion. The house looked lovely in the pictures but on arrival we were blown away. It is so unique and peaceful. We just loved relaxing in front of the fire and going on nice country walks to the local pubs. All the rooms are so stylishly decorated and the house has a natural, relaxing feel.
We are already planning our next trip back!!
Beautiful country getaway, the photos really don't do this place justice! We stayed for a long weekend as a family following a busy Christmas and the place was just perfect! The huge open plan kitchen / dining and living area upstairs was great for a big dinner and we loved the cosy downstairs area for relaxing in front of the log burner!
Beautiful walks in the Lincolnshire wolds and we found two great pubs within walking distance!
Would highly recommend!
