“Heart of rural Deeside”

Enjoyed a very relaxing 4 nights with my wife. The Bothy (more so than its sister cottages) offers magnificent views over Deeside. Clean, comfortable and generally well provisioned (small point: could do with small chopping knives - a large carving knife isn't ideal for chopping small veg!). The hot tub was a great feature - but agree with the previous reviewer that you can't see the panorama from it.

Despite its quiet location, we found it a good base for exploring the heart of Aberdeenshire. Aboyne and Craigievar Castle are 10 mins away. Ballater, Banchory, Bennachie and several other castles (Crathes, Fraser, Drum) are around 30 mins or less away.
